Wing Commander Rant
Welcome,
To my 39th
Wing XX report. It has been a while since you have heard from me. I have been
busy with exams and have been waiting for the database to become fully
functional again. The roster has been sent directly to FO Cyric, so hopefully,
that will be straightened out soon.
The new site (for
those who don’t know) is at www.ehtiecorps.org
Imperial Alliance, a
free Star Wars game made entirely by the EH based on the FreeSpace 2 engine, is
well underway. It looks quite impressive, and when it is released it will be a
free game for EH members and a big recruitment tool.
Free Worlds, a
FreeLancer mod found at http://freeworlds.help2go.com/index.php , has
gotten a lot of attention on the EH message boards reccnetly. A few Ehers are
hanging around the US server and it looks like it could be pretty good. Think
of it as a Star Wars Galaxies without a monthly fee, nothing but flying
starfighters, and no need to build skills or faction points before you can
start flying. After being addicted to the prequel of FreeLancer (StarLancer)
about a month ago, I think that this could definitely be a lot of fun.
We have a few days
left to finish up May’s BGCOM’s Judgement. The assignments are XvT TC 86, TIE
TC 168, and XWA TC 10. The fiction prompt is Home and the graphics prompt is,
me, LC TK-7764. Draw me with red horns and fire all around, I don’t care so
long as Davi thinks it is good. On a side note, hopefully, we will all hear the
results of BGCOM’s Judgement April before June starts up.
CM Jonathon Archer aka
Stormguard of Raptor CMDR fame is still on LoA. Hope you can work everything
out man. Kraken CMDR will be placed soon (I’ll still have to wait until the
roster has been updated though). After that, I also plan to award last month’s
MSE medals and promotions, that was unfortunately pushed back by all of this
mess.
The TAC has stated on
the message boards that in order to have your battle records/FCHG updated, he
wants people to send an e-mail to him with their battles completed. Battles
with High Scores must be submitted as before (I apologize to VA TK-2107 in
advance). With the new dedicated server, this tragedy will never repeat itself.

Battle Group Commander’s Judgment
is a massive monthly ATF wide competition. The wing with the best results in
the 8 categories wins Wing of the Month. Get out there and fly for the wing. We
have one day left, so fly for the glory of Wing XX. I want to keep our winning
streak going.

Final Thoughts:
I hope everyone is willing to
buckle down and get to work. Things here are a little crazy, but I expect a lot
more flying now that summer vacation is coming for a lot of high school and
college students (in the northern hemisphere, to the Aussies, sorry about that
whole winter in July thing). So, make sure to lend a helping hand to the new
recruits and keep a positive attitude through it all. I know this is difficult.
I hope to never have to go through this again. Now, it is time to focus on the
future, we can’t change the past.
