Wing Commander Rant
Welcome,
LT Stormguard was
placed as the new Raptor CMDR. He was promoted to CM and has also recently
changed his name to Johnathan Archer. Star Trek fans, oh well, all is well.
CM Zeke Freeman has
left Kraken CMDR. I will be accepting applications for one week. Typical CMDR
requirements including no recent HCI convictions, membership in the DB, good
e-mail response time, and a plan to improve the squadron.
Wing XX is now the
smallest wing in the TIE Corps! Get out there and recruit fast. Otherwise, our
wing is going around with a giant bullseye on it. Below are a few facts you can
use to try to coax some RL buddies or people you meet online into joining.
Plus, well, it is just some cool stuff to know about.
Imperial Alliance, a
free Star Wars game made entirely by the EH based on the FreeSpace 2 engine, is
well underway. It looks quite impressive, and when it is released it will be a
free game for EH members and a big recruitment tool.
Free Worlds, a FreeLancer
mod found at http://freeworlds.help2go.com/index.php , has
gotten a lot of attention on the EH message boards reccnetly. A few Ehers are
hanging around the US server and it looks like it could be pretty good. Think
of it as a Star Wars Galaxies without a monthly fee, nothing but flying
starfighters, and no need to build skills or faction points before you can
start flying. After being addicted to the prequel of FreeLancer (StarLancer)
about a month ago, I think that this could definitely be a lot of fun.
With an outstanding
rally last month, Nemesis Squadron has won Squadron of the Month for April with
over 1300 points. The Pilot of the Month for Arpil is a at least a 3 time
veteran of the award, CPT Iceman.

Battle Group Commander’s Judgment
is a massive monthly ATF wide competition. The wing with the best results in
the 8 categories wins Wing of the Month. Get out there and fly for the wing. We
have one day left, so fly for the glory of Wing XX. I want to keep our winning
streak going.

We are gaining activity, but
