COMPETITIONS AND ORDERS


- Auroraholonet Logo Design Competition. This is an EH-wide graphics competition. Design a banner or logo for a new web hosting service that Ast will be launching for EH members called the Aurora Holonet. 1st place gets a IS-PR, 2nd place gets a IS-GR, 3rd place gets a IS-SR. Is open until December 31st of this year, with submissions going to Ast.

- Webmail skin design competition. This is an EH-wide coding competition. Design a skin for a TIE Corps webmail service or generic EH webmail service. The skinning guide is available here (61k PDF). Examples are available at http://www.mailenable.com/skins/ . 1st place gets a IS-PR, 2nd place gets a IS-GR, 3rd place gets a IS-SR. Is open until December 31st of this year, with submissions going to Ast.


- TIE Corps Christmas Holidays Jingle. This is a TC-wide competition. Create a TC Christmas Holiday Jingle for the fleet using TC names, squadron names, BG names, etc. The funnier the better! 1st places gets a IS-GR, 2nd place gets a IS-SR, 3rd place gets a IS-BR, with submissions going to Cyric. Deadline is the 24th of December.

- TIE Corps Christmas Holiday Bash. This is a TC-wide competition. Fly both XvT-FREE #41 and XvT-FREE #30 and submit to your superiors as normal. Then send your BSF confirmation email or scores for both missions to Cyric ( jroscoe@comcast.net ). He will add up both scores and award winners from points combined from both. 1st place gets a IS-GW, 2nd place gets a IS-SW, 3rd gets a IS-BW. Deadline is the 24th of December.

- Wing X Recruitment Frenzy! The TCBG, and more specifically, the Wing, is pretty low on numbers at the moment. Time for a recruitment drive. Whomever can recruit the most amount of new members, be they RSV types or CT's, in the next month (up through Jan. 4) shall earn a IS-SR. IS-BR to the runner-up! - ISD Challenge 'Quantity over Quality' Comp! IS-SW to the pilot who can fly the greatest amount of missions during the timeframe (up through Midnight, EST, of Dec. 18), IS-BW to the runner-up.

- Boss the COM around! An unofficial comp, but if you can get a total of 5 wing members to "sign" a "petition" to get Stuart to do a certain activity (IE, fly 10 battles, create a battle, make up 40 trivia questions, etc.), he'll do it!

- Exercise Cantina Run #???
We are all waiting for the results.



-Star Wars Galaxies
This still isn't being done! While playing SWG is counted as activity, I would like to see more "tangible" forms of activity. So, when submitting "Played SWG" as a weekly activity, please also include a short summary of what sorts of adventures your SWG character had that week. It can be a short paragraph or you can get creative and turn it into a polished story, but I want to see something to show off when considering activity medals. ;)

The message boards have returned to normal! *does the happy dance of excessive joy*

-Battleboard
Thanks to Beef we all remember the Battleboard. It is an excellent chart that shows us which battles which pilots should fly in order to earn us a citation. A squadron is awarded a citation for each battle that half of its members have flown. So if you suddenly feel a hankering for some flying (which you should), pop over to this link and fly something that will earn us another citation! -Recruitment
Thunder isn’t full and neither is the wing or the club. Please, contact any people you know that are interested in Star Wars and tell them of our great club. This also means setting a good example and generally being a gentleman or lady when on message boards, game servers, or anywhere else where you are representing the EH. Behaving badly in public smears our image and deters recruits.
