Epsilon Weekly Report #31

Bad News

Much like last week, there is brilliant news, and there is bad news. As per proceedure - I'll start with the bad.

No-one submitted me a pilot file, or completed an IWATS this week. In fact, due to technical problems of my own, no-one has flown or done anything this week. I have decided that the Chaser Image and name doesn't deserve this sort of discredit, so today marks the debut of 'Rez Squadron'. It contains no active pilots, which is far less than Chaser, which contains one and Epsilon, which contains six.

So this week, pick it up a little - because Chaser Squadron is a joke - but Rez Squadron is just depressing :P One pilot file, or one IWATS, by anyone but me (since I'll be flying anyway- I hope) will be enough to get the Epsilon Colours back.

We still have two pilots in the squadron who have not contacted me over email. You have one week before action *has* to be taken.

If you are unable to participate in any form of TC activity for more than a week at a time, you *must* contact me. I don't even need an explanation or something similar, I just need to know that you're alive and interested. Inactivity for extended periods results in an AWOL declaration and a forced transfer to the Reserves. I don't like doing this - but it's a reality of the job I cannot avoid.

Good News

However, it's not all bad. In fact, there is some great news. :-)

Three Epsilonians have had their recent achievements acknowledged this week. LT Trooper Xarn and LCM Jer have both been awarded Palpatine Crescents! The reasons for their promotions are stated below.

LCM Jer

Reason given for request: Jer is the heart of this squadron. He is my most reliable pilot, he has an astonishing competition participation record, and was a key element in our success in the Sovereign Squadron League. In addition to his flight contributions, LCM Jer has taken control of the squadron well in my absense and is an inspiration to the pilots who serve under him.

LT Trooper Xarn

Reason given for request: LT Trooper Xarn has really hit the afterburners since the SSL began. He is willing to do anything to strengthen this squad, and always comes up with the goods in some way. If he can't fly, he'll take an IWATS (or six, at a 96% average!) , if he can't actively participate- he spurs me on to write fiction and goes hunting for a squadron theme song! This man *cannot* be kept down, and he has a great future ahead of him.

Not bad at all, Aces :-) Congratulations.

Tommorrow, the Wing will begin to see the fruits of Epsilon's SECRET PROJECT, so keep your eyes peeled.

Oh yeah, and I was rewarded a Bronze Star of the Empire ;-)

Competitions

SOVEREIGN SQUADRON LEAGUE!!!!!!

Yes, it's THAT competition ;-) This week, missions will be released for the FINAL ROUND. Epsilon is playing for THIRD PLACE IN XVT. We are in a Three Way Playoff with Pheonix and Krayt!!!

Get us on the podium Boys!!!

NEW COMPETITION COMING SOON!

SURVIVOR: HUTT GUANO BIN

Sounds weird, should be great fun :-)

The entire wing is to be spilt into three equal groups. These groups will be required to complete a different goal each week, and the team which comes last will be required to vote to drop a player!

The implications of this compeition are unlike anything I've ever seen in this organisation and it's definately got me excited. This will be a great way to get to know the Wing and it's members, so keep your eyes open :-)

IMPERIAL STORM V - COMING SOON!

Imperial Storm is the pinnacle of Emperor's Hammer Wargames. The Sovereign has a fantastic record in this competition, and with good reason. This time, each task force (representing an actual fleet in the EH) will do battle across a sector containing over a dozen starsystems to determine, the best Commanders and strategists, the best pilots, and the best SUPPORT group. The Sovereign effort in the last Imperial Storm was forvever been etched into EH history - when the support corps backed our boys in a major battle scoring enough points to almost completely revuventate our battlefleet, outgunning the opposition by 30+ submissions to 2. This competition promises to be no different. This is the heavyweight title, and the Sovereign is going to defend the belt!

ACES HIGH!

CMDR/CM Brin Chaser/Epsilon/Wing I/SSSD Sovereign

P.S: This Bronze Star is for you boys. Good CMDR's need good pilots. Great CMDR's need great pilots. I'm in the fortunate position of being a good CMDR with great pilots. :-) You've rested up, now this week is going to be HUGE.
