Tau Squadron Update

Sunday - September 19, 2004

Squadron News

LT Nom Anor has joined the squadron.

The September XvT WoW is currently in progress. If you can, make sure to play a game or two for Tau and the EH. This might be one of the last WoWs as the XvT/XWA rooms on the IGZ are scheduled for closing.

The Imperial Storm V exercise is in progress. So far no big battle has taken place but I'll make sure to inform you in the event of such so we can fly for ATF. See the competition section of the report for details about ImpStorm.

In a plan to get Tau squadron more visible and representative in/for the Dark Brotherhood, the Grand Master, myself and the Sith High Warrior has agreed upon a couple of points. They are as follows:

  • GN Kaerner or a member of the squadron will represent the Tau during the weekly DB meetings to present news about the squadron. Highlights of the squadron report will be displayed in the Grand Master's weekly report.
  • If a squadron member is part of a Clan/House, (s)he will earn a Cluster Fire (the DB MP medal) for a win in a EH sanctioned MP event.
  • Tau will be allowed to take part in any Sith MP event as independent unit. Squadron members can get individual medals but will not be counted to Clan and House scores if they choose to fly under the Tau banner. However if a Tau pilot wants to fly for his/her House/Clan (s)he can do so by informing the SHW.
  • Tau members can get DB awards such as merit medals and elevations for non subgroup activity. Those would be handled by the SHW, the DGM and the GM in agreement.
  • Tau members can request a Tau emblem to be displayed in their GoA if they so desire.

MAJ Tek Selkirk has been awarded the Iron Star - Bronze Wings for winning the Tau CR Race competition for August.

CPT Rax von Kluge has been awarded the Commendation of Loyalty.

Link(s)/Story of the week

Here's a story to tell your children around the campfire.

The Lone Ranger was ambushed and captured by an enemy Indian war party.

The Indian Chief proclaims, "So, you are the great Lone Ranger. In honor of the Harvest Festival, you will be executed in three days. But, before I kill you, I will grant you three requests. What is your first request?"

The Lone Ranger responds, "I'd like to speak to my horse."
The Chief nods and Silver is brought before the Lone Ranger, who whispers in Silver's ear, and the horse gallops away.

Later that evening, Silver returns with a beautiful blonde woman on his back. As the Indian Chief watches, the blonde enters the Lone Ranger's tent and spends the night. The next morning the Indian Chief admits he's impressed. "You have a very fine and loyal horse, but I will still kill you in two days. What is your second request?"

The Lone Ranger again asks to speak to his horse. Silver is brought to him, and he again whispers in the horse's ear. As before, Silver takes off across the plains and disappears over the horizon. Later that evening, to the Chief's surprise, Silver again
returns, this time with a voluptuous brunette, even more attractive than the blonde. She enters the Lone Ranger's tent and spends the night.

The following morning the Indian Chief is again impressed. "You are indeed a man of many talents, but I will still kill you tomorrow. "What is your last request?"

The Lone Ranger responds, "I'd like to speak to my horse,....alone."
The Chief is curious, but he agrees, and Silver is brought to the Lone Ranger's tent. Once they're alone, the Lone Ranger grabs Silver by both ears, looks him square in the eye and says, "Listen very carefully for the last time. I said, "BRING POSSE".
