• Due to some things in Real Life that are imparative that I take care of by the end of October, I will be quite scarce this month.  I should still be able to get my reports done, but they will be a little trimmed down.  Other than that I expect my participation and online presence to be greatly diminished.  I hope that you can all bear with me and be understanding of my situation over the next several weeks, as I always make it a point to extend the same courtesy to you.  As I intend for this situation to be only temporary, I have no intention of putting in any sort of "leave" or "resignation" notice.  If at any time I decide that I am not able to continue functioning as a squadron commander, I will be sure to notify my superiors, and not simply disappear or anything.  Ok, on with the news.

• Our Commodore and former Squadron Commander Drax Remlinger has been suspended from the Emperor's Hammer due "unexpected and unfortunate circumstances."  It looks like we may have a new Commodore shortly.

• I need to fill the vacant Flight Leader spots.  I would very much like for two of our own to step forward and apply for these positions.  I know that most of you are quite busy with RL these days, so I will be very lax with the activity requirements (i.e. there won't be any besides the normal email contact).  If nobody steps forward by Friday then I will appoint CPT Optimus to FL2 and CM noWedge to FL3, more to make the roster look "even" than anything else.  Of course if either of you object to being made FL for any reason I will of course honor that.

• Even though one of the hurricanes (I forget which one) made me a week late on one of the Summer Patrol assignments, I still completed all of the battles and was awarded the Iron Star: Gold Wings for completing the patrol.

• I have been playing a lot of Free Worlds again lately and hope to receive my official EH player tag soon.  FW is a lot of fun and is a refreshing change from our beloved Tie, XvT, and XWA platforms.  If you are at all interested I suggest you start by downloading the Freelancer demo and/or taking the Free Worlds IWATS.

• If you're like me and always wanted to participate in a Week of War for XvT or XWA but just never got around to it, it may be too late.  Starting this month, MSN is expected to remove XvT and XWA from The Zone, rendering WoW match-making cumbersome at the very least.  I will do my best to keep you updated on this situation.
