Introduction
*It's Dirty Vader's birthday today! Woooooooooo! Anyway, on a less happier note, as you already know, I've taken command of Typhoon after an unexpected resignation of Cor's. We wish him all the best and hope to see him back soon.
*Kyle Katarn, an old veteran, has joined our great squad Typhoon. You might remember him as the former COO or as a Challenger. Either way, welcome him with open arms.
*Col Bill Kelso aka Boliv is our new Wing Commander! Welcome!
*The site is still being updated regularly (Cor gave me access), so check it out.
*There's a July monthly comp running, fly TIE Free Mission 227 and XWA Free mission 90 and the highest scorer for each platform gets IS BWs (1 medal for the winner of XWA, and another for the winner of TIE). You have until the end of the month
*Beckham misses the penalty kick! England loses and are knocked out of the European Championship! (note: this is to annoy Mell :P)

TC News
*The OPS has just realised he screwed up with the medal re-awarding. He says that everything has gone more than perfectly except for the CoLs. In that case, I wonder why all my old medals are still missing tsk tsk tsk. Anyway, he asks WCs and COMs to list out the pilots who have earned CoLs but haven't got them back yet. Send to ops@emperorshammer.org.
*The Training officer is looking for an assistant and is now accepting apps
*The TAC office is in need of XvT testers, send apps to the TAC officer.
*FreeWorlds is now an official TC platform!
*An EH exile has stirred trouble. He offered Ronin $15, 000 to buy the EH off him, and made it look like the offer was coming from a CSer. The crook was traced and identified and the debacle has ended. The EH is not for sale, Ronin said, and anyone who deals with this DarkNyte crook will be given the boot. Ouch.

Dirty's Final Thoughts
I'd like to see more activity this week, at least an e-mail response. But I'm sure you were all just preparing for the 4th of July, so no worries :PIf you can, recruit! We all hear that boring line over and over again, and I know it's getting lame but nevertheless the squad and the challenge could use some pilots.
