Thunder Weekly Squadron Report #98

INTRO

This week George, Locke, Chris and I had a lot of fun, writing on the run-on competition. Maybe more will join in the second week of the run-on.

Jeffery still hasn't got any idea's send in, please send your ideas to him so that he may continue
( ww_bolinger@hotmail.com ) or me ( e.m.schreutelkamp@raketnet.nl )
As a reminder: send your Weekly report to your Flight leader and for Ice and Ryuu directly to me.
I'm not getting them from all the members so please send them, thanks

COMPETITIONS AND ORDERS

Chal vs. Rel Comp:
1. ISD Challenge vs. ISD Relentless/Flaggie Slap Fight: Flying section. All pilots of the ISD Relentless and the ISD Challenge will fly TIE-FREE #193 and XWA-FREE #115. By the end of April 8th, each ship will add up and submit a total score of all TIE pilot files for their TIE score, and a total score of all XWA pilot files for their XWA score. The two highest scorers in each division will be awarded a IS-SW and a IS-BW respectively.

2. ISD Challenge vs. ISD Relentless/Flaggie Slap Fight: Run-On section. All pilots of the ISD Relentless and the ISD Challenge shall participate in a run-on to be done in the TCBG forum under the supervision of the BGCOM. The topic shall be that the Relentless and Challenge must work together in a seek-and-destroy mission against a Rebel task force. During the first week pilots shall describe various rivalries going on while the two ships are hunting down this task force. Battle against the rebel task force shall not begin until, a week into the competition, a post is given (by VA BubbaX) to indicate that the rebel forces have been found a battle has commenced. The ship that accumulates the most posts in the run-on shall be declared the victor of that division. Each run-on post must have significant substance, and ultimately whether a post counts or not shall be decided by VA BubbaX. The Run-On can be found at http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewtopic.php?t=290

The ship that wins at least 2 of the 3 divisions (TIE, XWA, runon) shall be declared the winner.
-Star Wars Galaxies
This still isn't being done! While playing SWG is counted as activity, I would like to see more "tangible" forms of activity. So, when submitting "Played SWG" as a weekly activity, please also include a short summary of what sorts of adventures your SWG character had that week. It can be a short paragraph or you can get creative and turn it into a polished story, but I want to see something to show off when considering activity medals. ;)

-Messageboard
Visit our message board often. It is the best place to get to know the rest of the squadron.

-Battleboard
Thanks to Beef we all remember the Battleboard. It is an excellent chart that shows us which battles which pilots should fly in order to earn us a citation. A squadron is awarded a citation for each battle that half of its members have flown. So if you suddenly feel a hankering for some flying (which you should), pop over to this link and fly something that will earn us another citation! We currently have 30. http://www.gysnet.com/index.php?wing=10&squad=1

-Recruitment
Thunder isn’t full and neither is the wing or the club. Please, contact any people you know that are interested in Star Wars and tell them of our great club. This also means setting a good example and generally being a gentleman or lady when on message boards, game servers, or anywhere else where you are representing the EH. Behaving badly in public smears our image and deters recruits.

NEWS

-Jeff's New Wargame
From his comfy jacuzzi aboard the reserves frigate, recent Thunderinian Jeff Domm is firing up a new wargame. He's still looking for participants. There's a website with all the rules ( http://www.geocities.com/wade_sci-f12/diplomacy/warlord.html ) and a thread in the Wing message board ( http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewtopic.php?t=4048 ).

I could use some help. I was working on a story a while back, just for fun. I thought I would start writting on it again, but am not sure where to start. Would you be willing to pulse the flight to see in anyone has some fresh ideas for me? The link above would take you to the first part of the story.
Mail your ideas to Jeffery ( ww_bolinger@hotmail.com ) or me ( e.m.schreutelkamp@raketnet.nl )
