Citations
Alpha Squadron is not elegible for citations as we require 6 pilots in the squadron and only have 3.

2-year plan status
Gain 6 pilots to place 2 in each of the flights. Projected date to have 6 pilots and all active in some way: 20050401
This goal is a priority. Some things are in the works for this to be accomplished.

This week in Alpha
Kahooli added another 20 points this week! Way to go! Jenn added another point, too. We will be back to greatness soon! Excellent work everyone! I will be starting to track the points, pilot, and competitions records starting April 3. As of that Sunday, the clock will be ticking. At the end of each season (June, September, December, and March) I will be giving awards. They may not count for much on the fleet level, but here in Alpha, they will count for everything. It can count towards "vacations" where you will not need to participate in a comp (unless the WC or SovCom makes it manditory) or even allow an AWOL skip for a month. Communication will still be necessary. The check in will not.

The Imperial Security Medal has been awarded to: FL/CM Kahooli/Alpha 2-1/Wing I/SSSD Sovereign The request was made by: CMDR/MAJ Talons Pryde/Alpha/Wing I/SSSD Sovereign on Wednesday, March 16, 2005
The reason:
Commander Kahooli has been exemplarary as a flight member to Alpha. During my absence as CMDR and during his tenure and subsequent assistance, Alpha squadron has kept itself together and not died. His efforts as A-CMDR have been better than most I have seen. I want this member to recieve the ISM (and I would take it from my own chest) for his continued devotion to the squadron, the wing and to the ship.

Alpha Squadron: Attention!!!!!!
Commander Kahooli, step forward.
To you do I present this long in coming appreciation for your efforts. You have done a great job even through your trials and tribulations in real life. Thank you from all of us in Alpha.
Three chears for Commander Kahooli!
Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

Squadron Orders
There are comps out there. Do them, please. We are going to need 100% participation in the SP Ladder and I want us to look into the other open comps around the fleet. Let us show we are still here and are here to stay.

Competitions
Alpha participated fully in the SP ladder this week! Excellent work everyone. Let us try contacting pilots for assistance. We can offer films and my debrief's for help or even direct tutoring. Let us give this out and suggest to them different people to contact in the Wing for help (if it is not against the rules -- no specific units).

(Supplemental)As of today (Monday Morn), the new mission for SP Ladder has not been released.

The following is something we could look into. The link is to the PI squadron message board. Tirna provided this link for us.

Squadron Concerns
We need pilots. Above everything else, we need pilots. From the looks of it, we will not make the deadline of this Friday for my first goal. This pains me to no end. Please, we need to make it happen as soon as possible. Talk to recruits about thier studies, thier progress and ask them if they need any help. There are roughly 150 cadets at my last count. A full 1/3rd of them have been contacted by Beta and they will most likely get them all. That means they will have a full squadron in but a couple of weeks or so. With thier 7 pilots, they have the most and all are active. We need to do this also. We need piltos and fast.

If you have not signed up for Alpha Squadron's mailing list, do so by the end of this week! WC, SovCom, I would appreciate your presence.

Also, our message board is up.

Commander's Rant
My rant for this week was done in private and directly to the offending party. Command structure also informed. Apology given on pilot's behalf.

Final Words
We need to keep our activity up and start shining to the rest of the fleet. We had thought this last week that we had reicieved a new pilot but it was done in err. And then the crowing of another squardon has added insult to brag (in an IM last Monday -- "Sorry to 'steal' a pilot from Alpha") to accidental injury. Alpha is in trouble. Let us stand strong and hold the line. Our wing commander has said we will be alright and is taking steps to assist us. To this I am grateful. Let us take back the title of "First Squadron" (Hey, that might be the nickname of Alpha if it can be approved)! Semper Alpha!

With all respect,

Major Talons Pryde, Alpha Squadron commander of Wing I on board the Sovereign class SuperStar Destroyer Sovereign, reporting.
