Vampire Squadron, March 7th 2003
Squadron
News:
Another new pilot in our Ranks,
Vampires! Let's give a warm welcome to SL Erisi Dlarit! Now that we're back up
to 6 pilots, our Citations have returned! Yay! I also tried a new form of
recruitment, suggested by someone else: going into yahoo chat, and creating my
own room, with a link to our squadron. This hasn't yielded any results yet, but
i've had a few nibbles.
Other
News:
Our gundark mascot was spotted near the
cafeteria, wearing...female undergarments. I don't know where he got them...and
I don't WANNA know. Mosh, find out who they belonged to and return them ASAP. If
they're yours...well, i'm not gonna go there :P
Squadron
Status/Orders:
Round 3 of the XWA SP
Comp is now over. I don't know what the results for this round are yet,
RW hasn't announced them.
Name the Mascots! comp
is still running(as far as I know). Just come up with 3 funky names for our new
Mascot Monkeys, and send them to RW.
Immortal vs. Intrepid MP
Comp! Only runs till the 10th of this month. For those of you
interested in MP, go to irc channel #Wing XIV and challenge their pilots.
Vampire vs. Hammer
Squadron! That's right! I've set up a small comp with Hammer Squadron.
It begins on Monday the 10th, and runs till Thursday the 20th of March! The
assigned mission is: XWA-F94! So get to
your fighters, and let's show them that its NOT Hammer Time! This is the latest
XWAF mission to be released by RogueWing. After you fly it, please go and submit
a review. The Highest Scorer of this will earn an Iron Star-Bronze
Wings! Winning Squadron will be determined by average scores of all
submissions. So let's get it done, people ;)
Soverign Squadron
League! This will soon be starting! We will compete with many other
Squadrons in the TieCorps, to see who's the best. We're signed up for the XWA
Portion of this event, that will cover several months. I know we'll make our
mark! Keep your eyes peeled for any details!

For those of you new to the Squadron, I
will HIGHLY encourage you to fly for our comp against Hammer. Also, for our new
pilots, I need avatars from you. Choose any pic of a movie star/celebrity that
you wish to represent your pilot on Vampire's webpage. Submit those to me asap,
so I can update our homepage. Let's stay active, people. Fly a battle, or
challenge someone on the Intrepid to a MP match...just try to keep busy and STAY
in contact with me. Also, for those of you newer to Vampire, if you wish to have
some instruction in XWA Single Player Tactics, let me know. I can help. I don't
get the highest scores in XWA, but I get close. Have a great weekend,
