Apologies for the late release of this report, but my internet service provider suddenly decided not to provide me with internet service this weekend.
Also, you should know that this is the second time I'm writing this, so some of this is coming from memory. Power outages. Don't ask.
Squadron News

- The quest continues to get our uniforms approved by the Ops Office. Here is VA Khaine's initial response :
Following the policy of my predecessor, FA Howlader, the Elite Squadrons are allowed to have their own uniform colour, but must follow the regulations layed out in the Operations Manual and elsewhere.
The red is fine, I have no problem with that, but the epaulettes, placement of the squadron patch and the belt (which is a GoE-only example) all have to go. You may wish to suggest using the blue sash around the waist, just for aesthetics.
Here we go again. So, the red is okay, but VA Khaine will not approve anything which varies from the Ops manual guidelines. Ix, if it's not too much trouble, I would like for you to put together a sample uniform using the guidelines that VA Khaine has insisted on above. Let's at least get a look at what we're being told to wear, before we begin to consider trying to get anything else approved.
- The Omega Squadron website is coming along nicely, due in no small part to the much-appreciated cooperation of former Omega CO, GN Devin. OmegaSquadron.Org should be updated sometime this week.
- Operation : Outrageous Fortune news -- we won the last battle, despite heavy losses. Good job by everyone who participated!
- Out of the three empty spots in our roster, I now have two prospective pilots. Not bad ... I expect to find the third this week, so stay tuned. I want to get everyone's opinion before any invites are made.
- My choice for Flight Two Flight Leader has been made, more on that pending Flight Office approval.
- COM/AD Proton has recently made the Sov's Hutt Guano Bins available for rent, specifically for any pilots who a CMDR deems to be "worthy" of such a location. And you thought Wing I was bad ...
- Speaking of which, everyone's favorite monkey-tamer, GN Compton, not only escaped from Wing I, but made it back in time to fly several battles this week. Nicely done, C.
- Unfortunately, LC Janich has not fared as well as Compton. Janich is still missing (and presumed to be tortured) somewhere in Wing I ...

- I've registered us with an Omega Squadron store at CafePress.Com, which is something I've been thinking about doing for a long time. I was disturbed to discover that among the many items you can have for sale, you can also offer thongs and women's panties. After much debate and soul searching, I have decided NOT to offer the Omega Squadron Panty as an item for sale.
There's nothing there to buy now, so I won't be giving out the URL just yet. I plan to sell everything there with 0% markup, which means the cost you pay goes only to CafePress to make the stuff. I don't want your money ;-)
Also, I want to try and get EmpReach's permission to use the Omega Squadron banner before we go plastering his creation all over some merchandise ...
But stay tuned, cool Omega Squadron swag is on the horizon.
