Not a whole lot going on this week, other than endings / beginnings of competitions, and some heightened activity with recruitment.
Squadron News

- CR#3 came and went, ending on April 25th. In my opinion as CMDR, we did very well ... 100% participation! Can't ask for very much more than that! Official results will be out just as soon as you guys stop buying drinks for Todbringer. Honestly, how can he run the SSL if you never let him out of the cantina? ;-)
- AD Proton reported in the last Sov News that Operation : Outrageous Fortune has finally restarted ... apparently, ground battles with SW:GB and JK II were just too much for the wargame to handle. Plenty of space-faring action left, however -- stay alert, you know that when these battles pop up we only have a few days to fly them.
- Another new high score to report -- nice work by MAJ Brandon, who got the top score on FREE-TIE # 47! There are several BSFs that I still have waiting in the database to be approved by the Tac, so I should have quite a few high scores to report next week. Keep up the great flying!
- Lot of discussion this week about future members of the squad, especially considering the fact that we have 4 open positions that need filled. We've got 4 candidates lined up, plus a fifth waiting in the wings ... more on that in a future "New Blood" email.
Squadron Orders

- Sigma Squadron Competition! At the time of this report, I only have submissions from Ixion, Grue, Brandon, and myself. I know that Brian is flying it, but that's still only going to give us 5 ... we need at least one more pilot to fly, or we're going to have a serious handicap. And here's more good news ... the last full day to fly was today. My results have to be in tomorrow. Given the circumstances, I am going to be waiting as long as I possibly can before I send them in. Let's get going on this one, guys! Battle is attached.
- CR#4 of the Sov SL is now active! Take some time for a breather after flying for the Sigma comp, though ... this bad boy isn't due until May 8th. Mission to fly is FREE-TIE # 183, "Mixed Fortunes". I'm attaching the mission for you, cause I'm cool like that :p
We've been doing great so far in the SSL ... you guys just keep it up, and we'll definitely make the playoffs.
