- Well the big news this week is that, according to LC Todbringer's unofficial calculations, we have once again had the highest score for the latest round of the SSL! Not bad gentlemen, not bad at all. There's really nothing for me to say except -- keep up the good work! I would have been happy just to make the playoffs, but your performance in the last few months has convinced me that we have a legitimate chance to win this thing, so everyone just keep doing exactly what it is you're doing!
- MAJ Brandon is going to be taking a leave of absence in a few weeks. After he graduates from his university, he will be heading off around Europe! Bran will be gone for about a month, so we'll just have to hold things together around here until he returns ;-)
- ImpStorm IV details are still being hammered out, but it's on the way.
- Operation : Outrageous Fortune has hit yet another snag, looks like there's been some trouble with the scheduling for the latest XWA skirmish. To simplify things (and get moving again), results of the last round are going to be taken from the single player files that were turned in. So those of you that participated for Op:OF last time ... pat yourself on the back, it was important that you flew!
- High praise from the Flight Office's FA Cyric! The good admiral had this to say about the Sovereign Battlegroup :
On another note, and this is something that you should be very proud of,
I've noticed going through all of the squadron/wing/com reports from your BG
that the SOV BG seems to have an unbelievable amount of camaraderie that is
unparalleled in the TC. I was an ASF'er for many years, and saw similar
camaraderie there, but what your group has is fantastic. Everyone should
take pride in that, and please let your pilots know that it is fantastic to
see all of this "love" they show each other :) (by love I mean it in a
purely heterosexual kinda way :)) (not that theres anything wrong with that
BTW)
So there you go, guys ... as far as camaraderie (and sheer fun, in my opinion), the Sov is the place to be right now. And why is that? Because the pilots make it that way! You guys especially. Nobody likes to be in a "silent squad" where everybody flies but nobody talks. You guys keep on talking and keep on joking around, and let's keep this a fun place to be.
- There's a lot of fleet and shipwide news, but things within the squad were pretty quiet this week. Be sure to read through the Flight Office report and the Sov News again to stay up to date.

- Combat Run # 6 of the Sovereign Squadron League is active! FREE-TIE to fly is # 229, "Occupation of Inigew". Our deadline is June 6th, which means your last full day to fly is June 5th. We're on a roll with the SSL, so let's not stop now! You'll find the mission attached to this report.
