- We've had a medal awarded this week! Congrats go out to MAJ Artyis for being awarded the Iron Star with Gold Wings. Artyis received this medal for his 1st place individual finishing position during CR#6. Great work, Artyis!
- CM Ras Kronar is still working on the updated downloadable version of the Training Manual, having submitted a prototype that met with approval this week. Furthermore, Ras has pledged to keep the .PDF version updated in the future. Nicely done, Ras!
- Ras is also still working on the Omega portrait. Remember that anyone who fails to send in a description will be depicted as a fuzzy CareBear. Ras, let me know who hasn't given you a description yet, and I'll start bugging 'em about it ;-)
- Lots of talk this week concerning the upcoming release of Star Wars Galaxies : An Empire Divided. Due mostly to the efforts of our favorite beta tester, GN Compton, members of the EH Player Association will not have to worry about walking into the game blind. C's full report can be found here :

Check out the first picture on that page, where C talks about using sunblock. Anyone ever seen the movie "Darkman"? I swear, that's EXACTLY what the main character looks like ... ! Fast fact, Darkman was played by Liam "Qui-Gon" Neeson, but only in the first movie.
Anyway, back to SWG. As you can imagine, the EH is already taking steps to be THE dominate SWG Imperial player association. You can find a lot more info at The Fringe's website (which was down when I tried to look at it), and anyone interested in joining the EH PA should email former Omegan (and now LO) Darknyte at darknyte@alltel.net. You can even use the same email address / EH name! Personally, I will be joining just as soon as I get my copy of "Galacrack" (I preordered back in January) and confirm that everything works properly with my crap internet connection. See you in there.
- The EH CafePress store recently underwent a HUGE overhaul, and now offers merchandise for individual ships / wings. Go ahead and check it out, even if you don't buy anything -- it doesn't cost anything to look. Has anyone noticed that the Wing III logo looks like an advertisement for an Imperial Mammography Center?

- Fly FREE-TIE # 218, "Pirates!", for CR#8 of the SSL! Remember that this is the last regular combat run before the playoffs. Let's be sure to end the season strong and have a good showing! I'm attaching the mission, because at this point, you guys would miss it if I didn't ;-)
- GN Stele's "General's Summer Sovereign Patrol" has started, with four Omegans participating : Ixion, Ras, Artyis, and myself. This week's missions have been announced, remember that you must fly seven missions to move on to next week. Artyis has already gotten a great start by flying TC-TIE # 57, which counts for 6 missions. One more FREE-TIE and he's done for the week (except for CR#8, of course). - Again, we had some solid activity this week. You guys rock, keep it up!
- I think that the release of SWG and the creation of the EH Player Association is going to be big news for some time to come. Undoubtedly, we're going to see some new EH members because of it. It's shaping up to be an exciting time to be active in the EH, and let's hope that some of those new SWG players will find their way into the TIE Corps ...
- Compton broke the story this week about Mon Mothma's ... unusual ... sexual tendencies. I'm including it below for posterity :

NEWSFLASH: MON MOTHMA - CHEAP HOOKER or NYMPHO?
CORUSCANT (INN) - Imperial News Network has uncovered some shocking news today about the leader of the so-called Rebel Alliance, Mon Mothma. According to reliable sources, this sentient is either a cheap hooker or just a nymphomaniac. Or possibly both. With numerous beings coming forward with tales of wild parties gone out of control, it seems that Mothma's calm, caring veneer is just a front for a seething sexaholic.
While most of the beings we interviewed declined to go on the record, one scruffy Rebel, who spoke on condition of anonymity said, "I've been to some parties where I, well, I can't say what I di... err, saw. Just don't tell Leia, huh?"
Contacted by one of our reporters on the fourth moon of the gas giant Yavin, Rebel hero Luke Skywalker had this to say, "That old bag's a nympho? She... she told me that she grabbed my crotch because it was part of the iniation into the Rebellion. I guess I should have known when she slipped her finger up my..." With that, our reporter made a timely exit.
