* Attention - Officer on Deck *

The habit of sending these reports out late has become quite persistent, and I apologize for that. I'll try to be more consistent in the future! The biggest news of last week was the removal of our previous Wing Commander MAJ Devin Taralis, who went MIA, and the announcement of his successor, COL Gen Es'mith, a former Wing V'er. During the short period of time between their reigns, I myself got to taste the life of the flag ranks a bit as the Acting WC, but now I'm back to my comfy old Mem CMDR chair again...

Squadron News :

- CM Ryan Chi'Cath was awarded the Imperial Security Medal (ISM). Congratulations once more!

- As stated above, COL Gen Es'mith is the new WC of Wing V. He's a hugely experienced, fine officer, who will surely do well here. Welcome back, Gen!

Current Events :

- SSSD Sov Squadron League's regular season has finished! We're still waiting for the scores of the final round, but the missions of the 1st playoff round have been already published. They are TIE-TC #169, XvT-TC #75 and XWA-DB #4, and the deadline is July 15th. That's about one week away, but remember that these are full battles, not single free missions. Even if Mem couldn't make it to the playoffs, I want everyone to try to complete these assignments - for the glory of Mem Squadron!

- Wing V'ers got a new chance to compete in GN Stele Pellaeon's Summer Patrol (which missed us completely in the first place because of the WC mess-up). CM Ryan Chi'Cath and LCM Dvader decided to sign up, godspeed and all the best of luck to you in the contest! Check the competition website for more info : http://users.pandora.be/dweezil/patrol/

- Once our new WC gets settled down, I'm sure there will be some Wing comps coming along. Stay tuned!
