Avenger Squadron news
Not much news to report this week. I got my cast off my right arm Tuesday, and the painful process of rehabilitation has begun. Not much mobility in the thing yet, but I am seeing progress. I expect at least 2 more weeks until I can attempt to move a joystick with it.
3rd round Avenger Recruitment matches continue, with some people dropping out. :/

Medals and awards

Current Competitions:

- There are currently several competitions running at the Squadron level, the Battlegroup level, and the Fleet-wide level. Avengers should participate in as many of these as possible.
Fleet-wide Competitions:

#ehcoc MP Events Several Multiplayer Competitions take place weekly in #ehcoc. You can find a schedule of competitions at The Combat Office . These comps are all on 24 hours a day now, so you should almost always be able to find someone to fly against.
XWA Week of War: Done for July. August signups for WoW in progress. It is an excellent way to find out how good you really are! Info can be found at Battlestats or on the Zone. All Avengers should participate in these!
Battlegroup Competitions:

ASF Recruitment Competition! Admiral Darksaber is hosting a Recruitment competition in the ASF. Recruit!
Avenger Competitions:

Avenger Iron Star Competitions Each month Avenger Hosts Five Iron Star Competitions. The Competitions consist of: FCHG-The Pilot who gains the most FCHG in a month, CR-The Pilot who gains the most CR in a month, Avenger Ace-The Pilot who earns the most Pilot of the Week awards in a month, Graphics-The pilot who submits the best graphics in a month, Beat The CMDR-The Pilot who beats the CMDR in a head on MP match. Yeah... soon. :P
New Flight Names If you can design new flight names, that I like, you will win a Iron Star.
Recruitment Avenger Pilots will be awarded a Iron Star Bronze Ribbon for recruiting new Pilots!

CMDR's Thoughts

Pilot of the Week Yossarian! 5 wins in XWA WoW gets Yoss the Pilot of the week honors again. Congrats!

Commander's status The wrist is free of the cast, and I hope to be able to fly MP within the next 2 weeks. If not, I'll have to evaluate my status as Avenger Commander. I want to lead from the front, and if I'm not capable of doing that, then I'll have to reconsider my position. I will work hard to regain my dexterity, perhaps look into learning how to fly left handed if I have to. :P That'll be interesting. Anyway, I hope to be working towards 3000/550 soon! Keep looking for qualified pilots for our cadre, and if they are not in the recruitment comp, bring em to my attention! Now, off to my Physical Therapy session! I have made progress since Tuesday when the cast came off.... :O
