- Big news this week is that the SSL Playoffs have begun! Not only are we in, but we also finished out the regular season in 1st position, which is due entirely to the amount of time and effort that every one of you has put in -- great job! We're matched against Mem Squadron in the first playoff round, more on your assignment in the orders section.
- Congratulations are in order for CM Ras Kronar, who was awarded the Imperial Security Medal this week! Nicely done, Ras. Ras will also be taking a short leave of absence, and he is scheduled to return next week.
- MAJ Artyis announced this week the final squadron standings at the end of the SSL regular season. Here are your top ten :

Squadron Orders

- Priority One is to fly TC-TIE # 169, "The Rooster Trap", for CR#9 of the SSL. Remember that we are working with a shortened deadline -- July 15th, which makes your last full day to fly July 14th ... tomorrow! This is a tricky little battle, designed with lots of traps and pitfalls to prevent you from getting cap ship kills and high scores. My suggestion is that you get started on it now! The good news is, it's only 4 missions. You will find the battle attached.
- Next up, be sure to fly DB-XWA # 4, "The Shadow Academy : Dark Fury". Same deadline, so tomorrow is your last full day to fly! I'll be honest with you, this battle is a kick in the pants. I flew it today, and I can honestly say that the first mission is IMPOSSIBLE to defeat on the Hard difficulty setting. If you plan to fly this one (and you should), get started ASAP after you finished the TIE battle. You can find the battle attached.
- For Ixion, Ras, and Artyis : This week's GSSP assignments should be out tomorrow. You'll know more once I do ;-)
