I have just received the results of Beta Comp, and unfortunately we lost… If you are wondering where the XvT pilot files are, we decided not to use them because Beta did not have any. And yes I know that the score Posted for LT Zoron is for the XvT he completed, and not the TF battle, but that does not change the outcome. We’ll get them next time.

This weeks Ace of the Week goes to..LT Zoron. Finally beat the crafty Captain. Not quite, the Captain is the Ace of the Month. Great Job both of you.

- Epsilon’s October Madness! Fly as many missions/battles as you can by the end of the month… the Pilot in Epsilon with the MOST FCHG points earned at the end of the Competition wins an Iron Star-Bronze Wings… The competition ends 31 October…Almost over and Captain Roger is running away with it.

- Mascot Power Battles! Complete the trivia sent out by the Wing Commander, if you need a copy let me know.

Key Dates:

Nov. 1st: Competition begins at midnight no matter your time zone.
Every Wednesday after: Progress reports to be handed out
11:59:59 December 31st: Final battles to be received
January 1-4: final scores posted, Wing Champions determined
January 5th, The Final Showdown: The six Wing Champions compete in the ultimate
test, it has been decided that if all pilots have XWA, the Showdown will be held
in #Airlock54 at 17:00 EST (5:00 PM)

Now the Rules:
1. All battles must be received between the exact times of 00:00:00 November 1st
and 23:59:59 December 31st
2. Wing Champions must respond to the Showdown invitation on January 4th
(seperate from the final scores) or else Wing Runner-Ups will be declared Wing
Champions
3. All pilots should submit at least 4 battles and/or free missions each week
4. Battles previously flown for database may be reflown for the competition.

Regulations:
1. Absolutely no person may use invulnerability or unlimited weapons unless I
rule it nessacery to use them
2. Any battle found using the above violation will not be counted for anything
and will be stricken from the record
3. Wing Champions must participate in the Final Showdown.

***Trick or Treat Prank Contest***
Again, very short notice, but this will be a lot of fun. As suggested by my CA, Maverick, what you do is take your squadron banner, or a rival squadron banner and put a prank on it. Then submit it to Fleet Admiral Keiran Idanian. I will work on getting this approved, but please start to get to work on them. Good luck!

Another graphics comp from the RECON Office. I know...graphics, some people can't make them, but don't worry next month there will be one for everyone, not just graphics people. :)
In this comp, you'll need to design either a banner or graphic for the Imperial Survey Corps (ISC). The banner should be the size of every other banner, about 400 x 40 pixels. The graphic should be about the size of a splash banner, about 800 x 500 - max. The Imperial Survey Corps searches the Internet and RL for ways to help the EH out by letting people know about this. So, something like Corevettes or scout ships for graphics - just a suggestion. There will be two awards. One for the banner and the other for the graphic. You may do either one or both! :)

It was a moderate week pilots, with some expected and unexpected losses. Real Life has been consuming many of us this week, and this is to be expected. Let’s keep our chins up and keep chugging.
Keep up the Good Work and take some IWATS if you have time. Also, if you have any suggestions, just let me know.
Let’s give a round of cheers to Colonel Plif, who is transferring to the Reserves to pursue the Air Force in RL, and LT Baisley who is trying to make it through a tough semester of college. Both have expressed their desire to return when able.
