Appointments/Positions Open:

Lots of Wing Commanders stepping down, but their positions have already been filled. I’ll give the complete list next week, when the new WCs are officially named.

Other News:

TAC, COO are on leave.

Ship News:

The Sovereign Bombing Run Blowout will start this week, with flying, graphics, and writing sections. See http://sov.minos.net/ (the new Sov site) for details.

Wing News:

LC Halcyon will be on leave this week. I’m A-WC, so if you have any urgent problems, send them along to me. If it can wait, save it for Halc when he gets back :P.

Teth finally lost a match in CSL2, but it was due to computer problems. They’ll still most likely be the winners of the whole thing. This week, Lamed, Teth, and Yod all have matches.


Squadron News/Orders:

News:

VA Krax Tarnisar is now officially unofficially part of Yod for the next 4 weeks. That was quite a welcoming party; now it’s time to get to work.

On a related note, I’ll be with Shield for the next 4 weeks, though I’ll still be on IRC and submit pilot files.

We have a re-match with Kaph this month. The mission to fly is TIE-TC 195, and the deadline is not until Aug 31, but there’s a lot going on this month, so don’t let the deadline sneak up on you.

I’ve added a new section to the Yod webpage: the Trophy Room. It’s designed to be a place to highlight squadron achievements, as well as give a little history and personality to our squadron. If you have any suggestions for other "awards" to be placed there, let me know.

MAJ Philo was awarded two IS-BWs.

Colossus Squadron League 2:

Week 6 Results:

No activity in our group.

Week 7:

We have a match against Tempest Squadron, flying TIE-FREE 200. If we can get a tie, and submit 4 scores next week, we will win our division, and be assured of a place in the playoffs. As always, pilot files are due to me by Friday midnight if possible, or Saturday midnight directly to COL Gallia if you absolutely can’t make the Friday deadline.


Krayt Squadron Competition:

We won both sections. Again, congrats and thanks to all the pilots who participated, and check the Trophy Room for our newest souvenir.

Orders:

Fly TIE-FREE 200 for CSL2 this week.
Fly TIE-TC 195 sometime this month for the Kaph comp.
Fly for the Sov Bombing Run blowout, if you can. There will be Wing and Squadron awards, and I’d really like to continue our good showing in large comps. Signups for the XWA ladder are still open, and the TIE free mission comps should start soon.
