Commander's Thoughts

Welcome to another smashing edition of Hornet news and events. We still have quite a few of our guys on leave which is hurting our activity but we are gradually coming around. I really want to pump things up guys so get to it.

Squadron News:
-I have four competitions pending in the office…although they are still pending approval, they were due to begin July 10 so feel free to go ahead and submit things as I will count all of the stuff you send me toward them …They are for good medals to decorate up your uniform so if you want …get out there and earn it!!!
-We now have 27 citations which is quite an increase from last week, ill be sending you out battle requests, so please take them seriously because I will be coordinating our flying to get more cits.
-All our new offices are now in effect, so ill list the guys new section and the respective officer for that office. I have requested them to add something to the WSR everyweek to let us know what they are up to and just to have more opinions in here than mine so I hope it all works like I plan.

Both the Trivia and Mp Comps hosted by CM Lasitter and myself are hereby suspended until further notice. Lack of participation was deemed the reason for this…in the event we get requests to reinstate these comps they will remain suspended.
- TopDog competion returns to the Vanguard which began July 1, so get ready to get busy…We are flying XwaTc30. And it will be for high score for the squad. Each member will fly it and then tally the score to get a squad total, if ours is higher than the other squad we draw, we advance. So prime your engines boys this could get nasty.

Well with the loss of yet another good Hornet pilot our citations have dropped again tremendously. We really need to start back flying guys in a major way. I know TopDog is going on but that is one battle a week and I beleive you guys could muster out an additional battle or two to give us a boost. I will begin the assignment sheet this week. I ask that whatever battle I assign you, please fly it for the team. It will help us gain citations faster by me coordinating who flys what. If you want additional battles to fly and want to know which ones ill assign you next, shoot me a quick email and ill let ya know. Anyone interested in running this office besides me do let me know ill gladly let ya give it a shot.

Recruitment Officer(RO)-LT Cybershadow
Greetings fellow Hornet pilots. I am glad to be able to serve Hornet, if
only in this very small way. As most of you have probably noticed we have
been steadily losing members for the past month. With Commander Goad
having joined Wasp squadron, we are now down to seven pilots. I will work
as hard as I can to find and recruit new pilots for Hornet, but I need your
help. If at all possible, please send me an email (or post on the message
board) telling me how you heard about Hornet, and why you decided to join
it, so I can determine what attracts pilots to Hornet.
