am impressed by the level of activity on behalf of
SQUADRON NEWS
- Due
to complications regarding the size of my recent reports I have decided
to simplify them, to keep it below a certain number of kilobytes. Meaning
no graphics, no background, no colors, and no attachments of any kind at
least for now. However more on how you can help will come, this may mean
medals for a few people.
- Seeing
as this was the first of the Month few medals have graced the members of

has reached the FCHG rank of Dragoon with
103 points.
- Communications
are up, the competitions are running hot, and the message boards are smoking.

- Temporary
IWATS Site,
After a recent spell of bad links
and 404's i have compiled a temporary list of
all IWATS Courses and emails for the PROF's for
each course, this link can be found at http://iwats.kweeky.net,
if anyone has any problems with any course then please email the PROF, CCing Mell.
- Vacant
PROF Positions,
with the resignations of both BGCOM/VA
Drake and SL Quake from all active positions in the EH, openings for TIE Mission Creation
Professor and Graphics Professor
have opened. The successful applicants will be knowledgeable with TIE and
TFW or graphic design respectively and should also be able to show evidence
of this. Applications go to mell@tiecorps.org.

of other members, The
Executive Officer, SA Astatine, has sent a message out to the fleet as follows,
“In the last few weeks, we've seen
a few very high profile HCI cases. The details of those cases are unimportant.
What is important is the behavior of other members in relation to those
who have been tried and of the trials themselves. Behavior such as bragging
about someone being punished by the HCI or baiting those who have been tried
or their friends/associates is not acceptable behavior. Such acts show poor
taste, a lack of maturity and a "sore loser" mentality where the person
in question feels the need to stick in their boot to someone who is already
on the ground. I've been through a trial and in itself, it's a bad experience.
It's made even worse when your peers conduct themselves in this fashion.
While I don't want to throw around threats, it looks like I'm left with
little choice. Those found conducting themselves in the fashion I’ve
outlined will be subjected to a one-month, EH-wide IRC ban. No questions,
no appeals. This is your "warning". If you continue this sort of rubbish
after that ban, it's trial time and then you will fully realize what the
victim of your venom and mocking has gone through.”
- Wargames
to Start! If you are interested in playing
in a War Game, the WO is proud to announce that he will run TWO games, after
he returns from leave. Game 1 will be designed for beginning players, or
those who want to brush up their basic skills, it will be a re-run of Imperial
Storm 3, with a few small changes. Game 2 will be a more advanced game,
with many more rules and options. It is intended for those who already have
a firm grasp of wargaming. If you wish to participate
in either of these, please send mail to VA Pel
and specify which game you wish to participate in. All emails will be read
after the 21st of August, when the WO returns from leave, games will start
in September.

resigned and headed for the Reserves.
SQUADRON
STATUS/ORDERS
- Last
Monday, six days ago, I challenged Commander Bobxavi
to a competition. Since most of both our squads were on leave I decided
to alter this from the course of normal competitions. The details on this

LT Anson Darkrider and MAJ Gidda and I are competing
against Falcon Squadron to win this competition. We wanted sides to be fair
and as everyone in Ranger was on leave except the pilots I mentioned it
worked out well for us!

Banner Competition, with
an overwhelming vote (Ranger had 4 votes against a new banner) the competition
has moved forward and became official. Who said Ranger followed the crowd
anyways? A two week competition has therefore been started, ending on
