Squadron News

1. Santa Sarin has come early this year as 7 Pilots in Avenger Have received Bronze stars and two have received Imperial Security Medals. Bronze Stars were awarded to Sarin, KK, Ian, Pell, Verr, Nightmare, and Graz. ISMs were awarded to Rahn and Death Knight. More awards are pending for Bruc, BH, and Dax!!!

2. Dark Alpha has contacted me and is considering a possible return to Avenger. I will keep everyone informed of his decision. DA is a great MP pilot and served in Avenger during my first two months as CMDR.

3. Iron Stars will be awarded at the end of this month for: Trivia Competition, Largest FCHG Gain, Largest CR Gain, Graphics, Ace Competition, and who can beat my activity by the most.

5. Colonel Ian won last weeks triva by answering Csilla as the home planet of the Chiss, Wilhuff as the First name of Tarkin and orbalisks as the parasites which attached to Darth Bane.

6. Avenger won 4 DFCs this week. Congrats to Bruc, BH, and Nightmare.

7. Congrats to Ian and BH for finishing first on the XWA and XVT ladders. The ladders were closed down due to some rule violations. I am not sure if awards will be granted to the winners. More information will be available soon.

8. I want Avenger Pilots to prepare for this months XWA WoW as well as the XVT. The WoW is the ultimate place to make a name for the EH and for Avenger Squadron. And don't forget, you can win a ton of LoCs.

Fleet and ASF News

1. ASF BGCOM Admiral Cyric has returned from leave. He is currently planning the ASF War Game that will decide the next flag ship of the fleet.

2. Congrats to our old mates at the ISD Grey Wolf. Hev and Janson have been doing an outstanding job of recruiting. Way to go fellas!

3. tiecorps.org has been transferred over to emperorshammer.net . Currently there are bugs that exist, but they are being fixed as quickly as possible.

4. Former Avenger Commander and Current FO Pri has been awarded the Medal of Honor. Everyone should congratulate him!!!

5. Va Khad has the Grey Wolf Site back online at http://greywolf.rawx.net

6. Following the removal of the previous Wing Commander, VA Proton has selected a new WC for Wing VI. Congratulations go out to Colonel Gen Es'mith!

7. In a competition using TIE-FCHG Battle 3, COL Reaper's pilots bested the Wing V bunch led by COL SickMan. LC Halcyon of Teth and MAJ Yoman of Mem were the individual top pilots for their respective wings. Congratulations to Wing IV and the medal winners! Oh, one more thing: Because his wing lost, CM Murkrow Defender had to give up his infamous prank monkey. Wing IV promptly barbecued the pest and enjoyed the fixin's as a cantina snack.

Commander's Thoughts

Pilot of the Week: Dax. Dax Flew SP and MP this week. He also was active on mIRC and even took an IWATS Exam! Great Work Dax.

Trivia: What species is Darth Maul. Who Designed Darksaber. In the Star Wars pre-Episode II novel a Jedi is taken away by an Alien species, this Jedi later returns in the NJO series. Who is the Jedi?

I believe this is the first week that I have never really had much to say. I told everyone to take last week easy and enjoy the Sun and interaction with Human beings off of the computer. This week I would like each of you to fly moderately. Spring is arriving and everyone is going to want to start going outside more. Do not take away from your real life so you can fly XWA DB 1.

Remember as you are taking these days easy, that once the ASF Flagship competition begins, I will need 100% Dedication from each of you.

It appears that we may have to recruit a new pilot in case KK becomes COO(good luck KK, I would like a COOA job!). I want each of you to start thinking of possible candidates. DA is a possiblity, but his real life may not allow him to rejoin. Please be on the look out for any pilot that has over 35 LoCs and around 500 FCHG.

Get to your Fighters and enjoy being the best squadron in the fleet.
