Asp Squadron Commander’s Report 03.15.02

CMDR’s Thoughts:
Low activity this week overall, although a few pilots did set themselves apart from the rest with their efforts. I want to remind everyone that it is your duty to be active and involved. Reporting in each week to your FL’s and CMDR is your responsibility. Without your input we have no way of knowing what your actually doing. If you’re in the process of flying a battle that won’t be completed until next week, then let us know and we’ll note it as activity. But be warned, constantly telling us your working on a battle and then failing to submit one will go against you as well.

LT Aragorn Strider has suggested an idea for a Squadron Competition, and I am presently working out some details to make it happen. Thanks for the idea Aragorn, its exactly what I like to see in a FL. ;)

LCM John Clark has brought a few ideas to my attention, all of which I will look into adapting into our activity structure. Again, this is what I like to see in a FL, so keep up the great work! J

AWOL notices were sent out to LT Voss and SL Jorath Kentar, both of which were left unanswered by these pilots. Shortly after I send this report out I will be submitting AWOL removal requests to the Flight Officer for immediate removal from the TIE Corps. That’s right folks, you go AWOL you are dumped from the TIE Corps altogether, meaning that if you suddenly decide to be active again you have to start all over with the M/PLT Daedaleus! Just another incentive to stay active and in communication with your FL’s and CMDR!!

SL Bud, and LT Kar Ter, you are both borderline on being considered AWOL. I suggest you get in contact with your CMDR at once, or else you’ll soon find yourself following the same fate as LT Voss and SL Kentar!

With the loss of LT Voss and SL Kentar, we will be back down to 9 pilots. LCM John Clark has done a remarkable job in recruiting for our Squadron, and has even taken additional time to recruit on behalf of the ISD Intrepid and the ASF as well. I would like to encourage the remaining pilots in Asp to take up this initiative as well and help us find some new pilots. If you’re unsure, or totally unclear about the recruiting policies, feel free to contact me immediately and I will be happy to explain the procedures.

Prelude to Andevia:
The PTA Competition has now ended, well at least Phase 1 anyway. ;)

Asp Squadron TOP ACE Competition:
Looks like this week LC Wil Striker gets the SP Kill Point! J

Who’s up to taking the honor next week?

I’m glad to see more participation in the TOP ACE Comp now. Remember, winning LoC’s at any TIE Corps scheduled MP match also count for Kill Points.

This week, fly XvT-Free #55! All pilot files must be in my inbox my 12 PM (EST) Thursday in order to count for this round. Lets get to those fighters and get busy folks!

Multi-Player Competitions:
Just a reminder to everyone that there are plenty of MP competitions you can jump into each week. I encourage anyone that has the time, and hopefully a decent connection to make an attempt as often as possible to join in! ;)

Recruiting:
Special thanks to LCM John Clark for his great recruiting efforts! We currently stand with 10 pilots, but since we are about to lose two pilots, which means we need three more pilots to completely fill our squadron. Lets get busy and find some new pilots!!

Battle Citations:
With the arrival of so many new pilots we have lost all of our Battle Citations. I have updated the Battle Citation Board on the Asp website, which meant having to recolor the entire thing from scratch. All pilots are strongly urged to review the board and verify which battles they can fly so that we can win back our lost citations, plus win even more! The WC and COM are set on seeing the Wing XIV Squadrons win these citations, so lets show the rest of the Wing how it is done by winning a ton of them here in Asp Squadron!!

Promotions/Awards:
Ø LT Aragorn Strider was awarded an ISM!!
Ø LC Wil Striker was awarded an IS-BW for winning the February segment of the TOP ACE Competition!!

New Pilots/Transfers:
Ø LT Kiptan Irtor has joined Asp Squadron in position 3-3!!

Pilots on Leave:
Ø None.

Wing/Ship News:
Ø Welcome LT Kiptan Irtor to the ranks of Asp Squadron!
Ø The WC and COM are still pushing for the Squadrons to win more Battle Citations!
Ø The WC and COM are asking for more pilots to invade the weekly MP Comps and show the power and strength of the ISD Intrepid!!
Ø If you’re interested in joining the Wing XIV Webpage Council contact CM Frodo (master_frodo@hotmail.com) as soon as possible!
Ø Have any musical talent? Want to be a part of creating an official Wing XIV Theme Song? Contact LC Dengar March (jac629@essex1.com)!
Ø The Wing XIV Webpage Council is in full gear with the creation of an official Wing XIV website! The early work is looking fantastic!!
Ø MAJ RedTaz, CMDR of Copperhead Squadron has announced that he will be transferring to the Reserves due to RL time constraints. On behalf of Asp Squadron I want to wish Taz well and hope to see him back on active duty in the future!!

EH/TC News and Information:
Ø The following Sovereign Wing Commanders have been promoted for their hard work over the course of the past several months:

Lieutenant Colonel Jahan Kalar, Wing III WC - promoted to Colonel
Colonel Reaper, Wing IV WC - promoted to General
Colonel Sickman, Wing V WC - promoted to General
**Special Note: VA Brakka, MAJ RedTaz, and I all served under GN Sickman in our earlier days of our careers in the TIE Corps. It is a great honor to see Sicky be promoted to the highest line rank possible in the TIE Corps! Congratulations General Sickman!!
Ø At the end of last week, Vice Admiral Toran Dan announced his resignation as Commodore of the ISD Immortal, and transferred to the Reserves. Toran was not only an excellent COM, but also a respected member of the Fleet, and his presence will be missed. In recognition of the tireless support he gave his Ship and Battlegroup, he has been awarded with the Gold Star of the Empire.

Without wasting any time, a new COM has already been selected. Many congratulations go out to the now former Immortal WC, Rear Admiral Darksaber!
Ø The TAC will be on leave until March 31st. His Command Attaché, Vice Admiral Marcin Szydlowski, will be in charge of the office in the meantime. Email both of them for any TAC-related stuff. The TAC will be around though, taking care of BSF’s, but not on a daily basis. Right now BSF’s can't processed due to some remaining bugs with the database move.
Ø The FO is very pleased to be able to announce that with the Fleet Commmander's approval, Battlegroup Commanders Vice Admiral Mell and Vice Admiral Jeff 'Tiger' Loruss, have both been promoted to the rank of full Admiral! Both of these Officers are without doubt amongst the hardest working in the EH, and these promotions are extremely deserved. Congrats guys! :)
Ø The error message "Could not allocate space for object 'tc_IPActivityTracking' in database emperorshammerdb' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full" has been resolved and most parts of the domain should be working again.
Ø As you may have seen on the EH News page, the Fleet Commander has selected a new Combat Operations Officer. Many congratulations to Vice Admiral Khadgar!

Note: For the time-being, please do not apply for the position of Grey Wolf Commodore

Squadron Commander’s Orders:

Ø All pilots are required to dress in the new Standard Duty Uniform during duty hours, and acquire the new Ceremonial Dress Uniform for special occasions. If you are unable to create your own uniform contact LC Striker ASAP and he will make you a new uniform.
