Theta Report # 1 (2002-01-13)

This report was submitted by CM Jack Stone

CM Jack Stone Reporting in for Theta, Week of 1.13.02

As I adjusted my gimbals from being FL of Sin to being a CMDR of Theta I thought of a few things to get myself aligned.
1. I should make a web site for the squadron, which I did and posted on Thursday.
2. I should have a competition to spruce up activity a little, which began on Thursday and ends the 17th.
3. I have to think of some non-flying competitions to do. That I’m still in the process of.

Squadron News

- This past week I was promoted to this position so everyone’s going to have to adjust to the change before things fall out of place.
- Don’t forget that TIE-TC 125 is due on the 17th for Mascot Power Battles
- The competition I suggested to induce activity ends the 17th as well so be sure to fly TIE-TC 78 by Thursday.
- Also, be sure to visit the new web site. It didn’t take me that long but it was a successful effort. Address is: http://www.geocities.com/seanman_99_98//theta_squadron.html
- LCM Skate was removed from the roster after I was notified that he had been missing for over a month, plus his E-mail address wasn’t working.
- This is more Wing news, but Tempest’s Tailoring Tool version 0.6 has been uploaded to the Ops Office. If you wish to get it, it is available at http://www.uwinnipeg.ca/~howlader/ops/intro.htm, I think, search around for it.
Squadron Orders

- Fly TIE-TC 78 for the competition.
- Fly TIE-TC 125 for MPB
- Visit the site; I want some input, ok?

Clone Ban
10:03 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
For the benefit of those that didn't bother reading my last report, there is currently a ban on ALL new clones within the TIE Corps (this won't affect any existing clones). This also serves as a timely reminder that clones must be registered with the Flight Office. If you do have a clone and are unsure as to whether or not it's been registered, then just send me an email with all the relevant details (clone information will be kept confidential if desired).

Remember that illegal clones are treated as AoW violations.

FCHG Contest #2 Results
16:57 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Happy Birthday Emperor's Hammer, and here are some new FCHG Battles for your glory! The second edition of the FCHG Mission Creation Contest is now over, with the results hereby released; the winning submissions which become new official FCHG Battles are:
· TIE-FCHG Battle 4: Nomads and Superlasers, by LCM Talas (awarded IS-PR)
· TIE-FCHG Battle 5: Attack from Within, by LCM Dujhod (awarded IS-SR)
· XvT-FCHG Battle 2: Eye for an Eye, by LCM Kittenclaw and LC Halcyon (awarded IS-PR)
· XWA-FCHG Battle 3: Ronin's Deception, by MAJ RogueWing (awarded IS-PR)
Thanks to these who took the time to enter the competition, the winning submissions are once more of greater quality. The only disappointment is the low participation compared to the first edition, though more time was given and more advertisement was made. I guess December is not an as good as time for activity than during summer, but I can't change the date of the EH's Birthday ;) The next edition will take place during July, results to be released for the FC's Birthday. Rating of the submissions was made prior any correction, TIE and XWA submissions were reviewed and corrected by TAC/FA Striker, XvT ones by CA:TAC/VA Marcin Szydlowski, and no tug was harmed during the testing. See you next summer for the third edition of the competition!
