It's been remarkably quiet this week. The only thing you can hear is a pencil scraping against paper in the WC's office. COL Badlands is apparently organising some XWA League for the fleet, and as fun as it will be, it is also one of the many reasons that things are so quiet right now because squadrons are preparing for it.
There are other reasons of course. For a start, half our squadron is on leave. That's to be expected though, as it is the summer and everyone is going on their holidays. Another reason is that I've been trying to organise competitions with squadrons on Wing III but they have a lot competitions going on already. I would organise a competition with squadrons closer to home, but they are either busy or having problems.
I expect things to pick up in the future. I'll continue asking everyone is they want to take us on in a competition, and if I have to I'll just run an inter-squadron competition. I don't like inter-squadron comps though, as it loses the team effort that I like to see during competitions.
LT Mark on leave now
Mark will be away until the 26th July. That raises the total of pilots on leave to 4. Fair enough, Jari and Marek are due back around now, but we should give them a couple of days to get settled back in before they get back to their EH duties.
Demon has a new CMDR
CM Nic Rety has taken command of Demon Squadron. That means he has left the CMDR position of Vampire, closing down the squadron. This appointment is good for us too, as we should now be able to get the results of the competition we had with them.
Apology
One of the other reasons that it's been quiet this week is because I've not done much for Phantom this week. Sure, I've been attempting to arrange a competition and BSFing pilot files as soon as possible, but I don't feel like I've been doing enough. Usually I'm posting on the mailing list all the time, or bugging you lot to work, but I've just not been able to get around to it. Expect to hear more from me this week :o)

- Attend IRC as often as possible. Remember that as well as #emperor's_hammer and #tiecorps, there is also an #ISD_Immortal room. If you need any help getting on IRC and using mIRC (or whatever) mail me.
- Post on the Phantom Message Board more often. It can be found in the Squadron Forums on http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/
- Recruit!!! If I can do it, ANYONE can!!!
- Give me some BSFs to do. If there are any missions you haven't flown, then get flying. If you've completed them already, then why not go for the highscores as they may be useful in a future competition.
