This competition is for Validus's Logo.
This is a rather important graphic which will be displayed not only on the site at some point but on Validus's site/forum that is in making. I am giving a lot of flexibility because this image can always be re-sized so size isn't that much of an issue.

Now to the guidelines: I am grading submissions based on the following

-appeal (make it look good)
-theme (remember we are dark jedi
pirates, it has to match our
theme.)
-quality (just make it decent if needed we can get someone to improve it so this the least of the guidelines to consider.

overall focus on the appeal and theme of the logo.
