Welcome to Master Blaster I. This is a Starwars Squadrons, 1v1, Dog-Fighting, Double Elimination competition for Battlegroup 1.

This will be an open-space, 1v1 dog-fighting competition. Depending on the success of this competition, we may expand it to the rest of EH.

The number of Rounds depends on the number of players that sign up. After everybody has signed up, the bracket will be randomized.

Match Creation:

1. The pilot flying Empire (the home team) creates the match.
2. Set the match time for 20 minutes.
3. Points required to win: 5 kills.
4. Set match to Public.
5. Set a password.

Rules:

1. Matches will be held on Yavin. There will be 1 week for sign-ups, and maximum one week per round. You must make an attempt to contact your opponent within 3 days of the round starting. Failure to do so may result in a forfeit if it is holding up the competition. If a Round finishes early, we will proceed to the next Round early.
2. Each Round consists of the best 2 of 3 Matches for players and their opponents.
3. There will be no modifiers used for these Matches.
4. Matches are won by the first player to reach 5 points in a custom game on Yavin.
5. The 2 Factions are Empire and Republic.
6. For Matches 1 and 2 you must switch Factions unless you and your opponent agree to stay with your own preferred Factions. The home team will host each match. The home team is always Imperial.
7. For Match 3, the player with the most points from Matches 1 and 2 combined can choose their Faction. If that is a tie, then the home team from the last match; the Imperials from the last match choose.
8. The winners from each Round will be the winners of 2 of the 3 Matches and will proceed to the next Round.
9. It is strongly recommended to take screenshots of each Match's results in case of a dispute.
10. In the rare event of the full 20 minutes elapsing, the winner will be the pilot with the most kills in that match. If after 20 minutes the scores are tied, the pilots should continue to battle in a tie breaker.
11. If the two pilots manage a 5-5 score by being 4-4 and dying simultaneously, the winner of that game will be the one flagged by SWS as the winner in the scoreboard screen.

The winner reports after each Round. When reporting wins on https://challonge.com/masterblasterI, you are reporting the total number of kills for the 3 matches for each pilot.
