Choose Your Own Adventure, Emperor's Hammer Edition!

We've concluded our business with the Ishtari, but TIE Corps business goes on!

Each week for four weeks you will write a fiction piece detailing life after the Ishtari.

Posts must be in first person past tense, 1000 word minimum, no maximum. Scoring will be using the standard rubric. Submissions are due no later than Saturday @ 1200 UTC, with new prompts posted the following Sunday @ 1200 UTC(ish).

I will read every submission and select one to be an official "chapter" in the story, which will also function as the prompt for the following week.

This week, you must start the story and write it in such a way that it can be continued the following week, until the final week when you will be instructed to wrap up the story.

The top scoring fictions each week will earn 5 points for 1st, 4 points for 2nd, and 3 points for 3rd. At the end of the competition, whoever has the most points wins:

IS-GR for 1st
IS-SR for 2nd
IS-BR for 3rd

All pilots who submit 2 or more qualifying entries over the course of the competition will be awarded an ORA.

The first week/opening prompt follows:

"The battles with the Ishtari left the First Recon Division sorely depleted, with virtually every ship needing significant repairs.

Throughout the fleet, crews are bustling, acquiring materials and performing miracles to get everything back into peak condition. Even pilots, who normally have little to do with day-to-day maintenance, have pitched in, but this high level of activity comes at a cost: Morale is near an all-time low.

Your job, as the senior enlisted crewman in charge of Morale, Welfare, & Recreation, is to find ways to improve morale. You have a limited budget but can move about the fleet freely, with your own personal shuttle. It's a big job, but leadership believes you have what it takes, so it's time to get going."
