Description:
This is intended to be a fast-paced Star Wars Squadrons Dogfight mini-tournament.
Up to six teams of three pilots per team from the entire TC can register to compete. Registration will be open 2 weeks in advance, with the event to take place on Friday, December 17th at 8 PM CST (2am GMT 12/18/2021).
The format will be each team playing each other team twice (once per faction) with the following match settings:
Mode: Dogfight
Time limit: 5 minutes
Score limit: 30
Respawn time: 15 seconds
Resupply nodes: disabled
All other settings standard
Empire team hosts the match and chooses map
Score for each match will be final number of kills plus 3 points to the victorious team of that match.
For example, if the final score for a match is 10-7, Team A will receive 13 points and Team B will receive 7 points.
Members of the team with the highest total score at the end of the event will receive a DFC.
If the event is well-received, then the goal would be to make a recurring event approximately once per month, and with variable scheduled times to allow easier participation for
non-US/Canadian pilots.
Future iterations for the event would require different team rosters, to encourage new alliances and to encourage participation from more casual players.
