Description:
Pilots are to create images as their submissions for this bonus comp. Just one image per pilot will be allowed. Submissions should be sent to plif346@gmail.com and include a ballpark figure on how long it took to make and a summary of how the image was made.
Building from the prompt for the Fiction Bonus Comp, the focus for the Graphics Bonus Comp will be images related to the situation on Tusorix. Think about things like what the planet's surface looks like (cityscape, landscape, etc.), the incoming unknown ships, the First Recon Division launching to counter them, etc. You don't have to follow the prompt, but submissions that do will have an edge over the ones that don't. Quality will be part of the criteria for judging but keep in mind that all submissions will earn at least one point for the work.
Submissions will be screened for images that already exist somewhere on the internet and have been re-used. This isn't a disqualifying factor as long as the origin of the image is disclosed, but the point of the competition is about creating something new so original content will be scored more highly than derivative works.
Graphics will be scored by the TCCS. The top ten places will be awarded 300, 250, 200, 175, 150, 125, 100, 75, 50, or 25 bonus points respectively for their ships and squadrons. Each pilot will also receive the general graphics points for their submissions, 1-10 multiplied by either 1, 3, or 5 depending on how the image was put together. The top six places will receive Iron Stars. The deadline is 0600 GMT on Friday, October 15th.
