Description:
As we prepare for another big TIE Golf event, I wanted to start off with a quick warmup for the Warrior. We'll fly one TIE mission for the lowest possible score, keeping in mind the rules below. If there's a tie for first place, we'll keep going until we have a winner!
First mission will be announced on Saturday, September 9th and pilot files will be due on Wednesday, September 20th. If additional rounds are needed, second round dates will be announced then.
If the first round doesn't result in a tie for the lowest score and there are at least five participants, the winner will receive an IS-GW and second place will take home an IS-SW. If there aren't that many participants, the winner will receive an IS-SW and second place will take home an IS-BW.
If a round results in a tie for the lowest score, all pilots that tied will receive an IS-BW and move on to the next round. We'll continue like this until we have a singular winner, who will receive an IS-GW and second place will earn an IS-SW.
SCORING
A key concern with TIE Golf is the scoring, which has to be a little different than standard laserless scoring. For this competition, we're using the following formula to determine a player's score for that round:
TIE Golf Score = Mission Score + Lasers Fired x 2 + Warheads Fired x 100 - Laser Hits x 3 - Warhead Hits x 100
Basically, laser and warhead hits are zeroed out and each laser and warhead shot goes from being a deduction to adding to the score, such that every shot you fire takes you further away from the perfect 2750 score (primary goals being worth 2500 and collisions on adding 250).

RULES
- Only the primary goals in each mission must be completed.
- In-game cheats are not allowed. All missions must be flown with collisions on, limited warheads, and vulnerable craft.
- Intentionally destroying friendly craft is not allowed.
- Your pilot file must not show a lost player craft.
- Calling for reinforcements is allowed, but the missions being picked won't have reinforcements anyway.
- Flying missions on Easy difficulty is allowed and encouraged.
