Combat log. Battlegroup Commander for Battlegroup III, Vice Admiral Locke Setzer reporting. Day #13 of the Battle of Tkon Rift.

I should be celebrating. But there appears to be no time for frivolities in this fight.

Our forces arrived at Sector 1204, to find an enemy corvette fleet that was severely outgunned and outclassed. Our corvettes fighting here might have been gone, but now the numbers were on our side. And for the first time since this fight began, I was personally present, ready to witness our revenge and retribution with my own eyes.

And what a display did I see!

The enemy was no match for our forces. With our Modified Interdictor, the Fairchild, present, there was nowhere for them to run. Our pilots, many itching for action they hadn’t yet had a chance to see, made short work of the corvettes. In every sense of the word, it was a victory.

At least, it was for a moment.

We’ve received word that the enemy has pulled out of our diversionary engagement in Sector 1206. We assume they will head to this sector. We do not have the time or the ability to pull out - all we can do is bring in our fresh forces from an adjacent sector and hope that our pilots can be relied on to turn the tide of the battle, should it arrive.

Word from Planet P3865 has been promising, at least. On the record, the Assault Frigate Citadel and Modified Frigate Krayt's Claw have successfully liberated another planet from the Kilji control. Unofficially, members of the Secret Order have landed on the planet, and I have been given word that they have successfully made contact with other Force sensitives rumored to be harboring in secret on that world.

These people and their gifts could be of great use to us, if they could be persuaded to cooperate. My hope is that the Kilji occupation will have made them more sympathetic to our cause. If not, I trust that the members of House Palpatine entrusted with this task will find other ways to help motivate them.

There is still no word from the Secret Order members carrying the stolen intelligence, not since the defeat of the Roost. Perhaps they found a way to P3069 on their own. Perhaps they have withdrawn from this sector. It is a loss that I am feeling increasingly called to accept.

The enemy force responsible for foiling that plan may soon engage us here. If so, then perhaps I can find comfort in enacting retribution on those responsible. If not, my time for revenge will have to wait.

But no matter what happens I know that, more than ever, we will need to rely on the members of the Secret Order, if we are to find any semblance of victory in this confrontation.

Let us see what awaits us at the next morning’s light.

End log.
