Artifacts of the Force Notes

Introduction

In the universe there are many things that have helped the force-sensitive warriors. If we did not have those items the world would be so much different. Some have brought peace, and others destruction. However, they have all helped to shape the galaxy into that it is today.

Clothing

Ludo Kressh's Armband:

The Sith Lord Ludo Kressh once wore (a metal) arm band during the Great Hyperspace War. During the war it absorbed Ludo Kressh's powers, so much of them that it became a conduit for the force. Becoming nothing but raw strength and pure power it was able to boost the defences and skills of whomever wore it. The arm band's last known holder was Jedi Exile, who wore it while she discovered and explored the tomb in Shyrack Cave.

Darth Vader's Glove:

The glove of Darth Vader was first made for Lord Kaan, it was based off the Mandalorian Crushgaunt. It was used to house one of Kaan's sith amulets. Darth Vader used the glove for his right hand, which was lost when Luke Skywalker and the Sith Lord fought during the battle of Endor. A three-eyed mutated human, named Trioculus, found the glove after Darth Vader lost it. Due to the Sith amulet in the glove, Trioculus was able to simulate the Force Choke move Darth Vader used. However, because he was not as strong in the force as Darth Vader, the glove would weaken him, and could possibly kill him if he used it too much. Because of this he abandoned the glove, but made an exact replica to scare people. The fate of the true glove is still unknown, however many beings claim to possess the glove. Including Glah Ubooki a Bimm merchant, who claims that he is the current owner.

Crystals

Bane's Heart:

Bane’s Heart was a unique crystal designed for Darth Banes’ apprentice, Darth Zannah. She used this special red crystal in her double-bladed lightsaber. After her death the crystal went from Dark Jedi to Dark Jedi. Eventually it came into possession of General Grievous, who stored it on his personal ship. The Empire searched the ship and finding the crystal they used it as part of the N-K Necrosis project, which was defeated by spacers.

Shard of the Serpent:

This great crystal was green in colour and was in touched with the force so that it had the ability to reduce damage done to the wielder.  The Shard of the Serpent was once owned by the Southern Mustafarian, Ikt, until someone stole the crystal. Ikt offered a hefty sum for the safe return of the crystal.

Jewelry

Soul Stealer:

The Soul stealer was a milky white talisman that was feared by many. It had the power to control any being. It was so powerful that after the person was manipulated by this amulet they would never return to their former self. Jedi Humat stored the Soul Stealer on Corsucant, putting it into the Cell of Imu, which he guarded with reanimated animal skeletons.

Kashi Mer Talisman:

The Kashi Mer talisman, a dark grey rock about ten centimeteres long, was a very powerful artifact. The lover of Xendor, Arden Lyn, used the talisman for a rather unique purpose. The Kashi Mer Talisman had a prism shape that allowed for items to be ageless within its hold.  Arden Lyn used this property to preserve her body for thousands of years. Some thought of the talisman to be tapping directly into the dark side, which gave it the legend of being able to revive the dead. The talisman was in the possession of the Emperor for years, but when the Dark Sith died it became lost, until a crime lord stumbled upon its whereabouts. Mahk’khar, a Gotal crime lord, was propositioned by a Dark Jedi named of Durrei who wanted the relic for himself.  After a deal Mahk’khar couldn’t resist, Durrei became the last known owner of the talisman.

Sith Abattar:

The Sith Abattar was an amulet with great power, but a horrible side effect. The necklace made of an unknown metal would allow you to speak in any language. However, the longer you kept it on, the weaker you get. Taking the energy out of your body and soul, the amulet could weaken you to the point of death if you did not take it off. The amulet has known current resting place, but has been found before on Dathomir and the Jedi training ship Chu'unthor.

Sith Amulets:

Sith Amulets were pieces of jewellery that could channel the power of the dark side producing amazing talents to those who possessed them. On the amulet there were ancient Sith hieroglyphic markings. They were used to amplify the powers of Sith magic and the force. Many people have used them, including the two ancient Krath, Aleema and Satal Keto, along with Exar Kun. Although amulets are usually worn around the neck, some wore them as bracelets. The amulets could project images similar to a holoprojector, as well as conjuring, channelling, and harnessing Sith magic. During combat the Sith amulets would channel energy into the wearers palm to send a blast of the Dark Side force toward their opponent. These amulets were the base of the Muur talisman. Another Sith amulet was put into Darth Vader's glove by Lord Kaan. Both the Jedi and the Sith would do almost anything for these amulets due to their great power and influence in galactic history.

Technology

Star Maps:

The Star Maps are well known in the history of the Sith. They lead Darth Revan and Darth Malak to their glory and fame. They were constructed by the Rakatan Infinite Empire, and they lead whoever found all of them to their greatest creation, the Star Forge. The Star Map was a free standing structure with three arms that folded out, along the arms there were words written in an ancient language, most historians guess it to be Rakatan. There are only five known locations of Star Maps, but many guess there are a lot more after learning about Rakatan history. These places are Dantooine, Manaan, Korriban, Kashyyyk, and Tatooine. They were Force imbued with so much Dark energy some drew large creatures like Krayt Dragons and Terenateks.

Force Detector:

The Force Detector, or Jedi Reader to some, was designed to test the force-sensitivity of a person. Developed by Emperor Palpatine, to help his Imperial Stormtroopers to find, and kill, off the Jedi. It However, the Force Detectors were far from perfect; they would sometimes say a force sensitive was not force sensitive. This tool was powered by very rare and powerful crystals called thaissen crystals, found only on Mimban. To use the tool you’d put the person you want to scan in between the two paddles and soon enough a hologram would appear. It would tell if the person is a force-sensitive by the color of the hologram. If it appeared blue, then the individual could feel the force. However, because of the Thaissen power source's effect, if somebody of the Dark Side was to be tested with this then the hologram would be red. After the Emperor’s death the Jedi forbid the use of these items. However, some did not listen and still used the objects to sense somebody, or something’s, force sensitivity.

Golden Globe:

A large spherical object, is how many described the Golden Globe. It was a very powerful artifact left behind by Dark Lord Exar Kun during his reign over the Massassi. The Golden Globe was actually another realm, and inside of it it held the captives of Exar Kun in a barren desert world. The globe was only four meters wide. It was protected by a very powerful shield which would send back anybody who would touch it. The only way to destroy the globe, but free the prisoners in the same move, was to use children. They would have to use the force to weaken the shield and help the captives escape. The captives inside the globe were Massassi, who left these words in their temple;

"Peace to all. We are the Massassi. Our children have been imprisoned by the evil Jedi Knight Exar Kun. Locked deep within this palace, hidden in the glittering sands of a golden globe, they await. The crystal that holds them prisoner can only be unlocked by children strong in the Force and dedicated to the battle of good over evil. If you are the ones, enter the globe and lead our children to freedom."

The dark presence that it gave off attracted Jedi Master Ikirt to it, who eventually helped Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila to destroy the globe.

Essence Stealer:

The object called Essence Stealer was developed by a Shi'ido named Borborygmus Gog, as a part of Project Starscream. It was designed to be used as a tool to remove the Force-essence from a Jedi or Sith's body. They used the technology of the Ssi-Ruuk, a species known for capturing souls and life-energy, to build it. It was placed inside the Jedi temple and two Force-Sensitive's destroyed it. Technology would later be based off this object to make the Universal Energy Cage which could stop Jedi from using their powers.

Weapons

Staff of Logray:

The Ewok shaman Logray is known for wielding a staff. Many do not know of its purpose, though. The staff was Force imbued and allowed the Ewok to use magic, what the Sith and Jedi call the Force. Logray knew of its uniqueness so he carried it with him always. He would only allow those whom he deemed worthy to wield it. It was once in possession of Stagorr, a Dark Wizard.

The Darkstaff:

The Darkstaff was a very powerful weapon first found by Darth Rivan. It was about a meter long and semi-sentient. It was so powerful it even absorbed the light around it. Though it not only drew in the light, but it fed on the force. It is expected to be the cause of the Cularin Systems’ disappearance from the Battle of Naboo to the Clone Wars. Although Rivan found it, he didn’t hold it as he was afraid of the item. The first known wielder of the staff was Phylus Mon. He took the staff and brought it to his ship, the Animiasma. The ship soon became part of the Darkstaff allowing it to suck the light from the stars as it travelled past. To maintain its control, the Darkstaff would emit a very high frequency noise from the ship. It was even able to teleport from person to persons’ grip. However, if it were to leave somebody’s grip the staff would emit a lethal shock to the former holder.

Scepter of Ragnos:

The Scepter of Ragnos was a mighty weapon once owned by the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos. Only about a meter long, the blackish scepter housed many powers and secrets. Tavion Axmis, and her cult, the Disciples of Ragnos, used the scepter to drain force energy from places to restore the once great Sith Lord, Marka Ragnos. The scepter would send off beams and blasts of energy to attack. One of the great secrets of the scepter was the last known Sith Sword. If you knew about it, then you could use it for yourself. The scepter was destroyed when Jaden Korr destroyed Marka Ragnos’ spirit in Tavion’s body, and snapped the tool in half.

Sith Swords:

Sith Swords were based off the designs of Jedi Katanas. However, these were special by how they were forged. Ancient Sith Lords would use their alchemical powers to change the base metals into alchemical alloys and use them in the Sith swords creation. Because of these new metals the sword was very heavy compared to what it should be, this made it so you needed to have the physical strength to wield it. If a stronger force user altered the sword he could make it stronger, sharper and even make it deflect blasters. Much like the metals Phirk and Cortosis, a Sith sword could resist lightsaber attacks. However, none of these properties are it greatest effect. The sword has the ability to absorb and hold some of his wielder's Dark Side energies, making it a portable nexus. Due to this, and its magnetic properties, if the sword came into contact with Force Lightning it would absorb and hold it until it made physical contact with something where it would release all the lightning. Many sword variations have been made because of these effects. These include Ludo Kressh's war sword, and Sith termor swords. Sith swords will always be valuable because of how the Sith enjoy the feeling of cutting flesh with a blade, and how they crave its power.

Sith Lanvaroks:

A Sith lanvarok was a weapon which was designed by the Sith species. It could be used as a distraction or an actual attack. It would shoot out metal disks at the enemy, but, like imperial stormtroopers, it had little to no aim. It would also take a long time to reload, so they were best used for a surprise attack. The Sith order adapted the weapon because they could use the force to guide the weapon through the air to their opponent, which made it very deadly. By the time of the Clone Wars they were antiques, but a few holocrons gave detailed instructions on making more. The Sith order lanvaroks were engraved with the words "If it has blood, you can make it bleed. If it has eyes, you can blind it. If it has a mouth, you can make it scream..." Darth Nihl used a variation of this weapon years later in the New Sith Order, and the Massassi used a primitive pole arm version of the lanvarok.

Conclusion

You may pass away, and your empire falls apart, but you shall always be remembered. These items and artefacts you left behind shall influence the future forever. The force works in strange ways, but I feel you have changed the universe forever with this simple creation. You have inspired those under you to do the same, and shape history in the ways that will always be remembered. - Unknown
