Here are some links to various masters of language; I suggest you use them as resources to improve your writing. The first step to becoming a great author is imitation of other great authors. They are famous because they were onto something, and feel free to borrow liberally from their literary techniques, and even plot and theme (with citations as necessary of course, no plagiarism!).

• http://the-tech.mit.edu/Shakespeare/ - The complete theatrical works of William Shakespeare.
• http://www.oed.com - Not a cheap subscription, but definitely worth it if you can. Many schools will provide you with a subscription for free from their campus (at least in the US). The Oxford English Dictionary is THE English dictionary of choice.
• http://www.dictionary.com - A free and adequate (although not wonderful) alternative to the OED
• http://eserver.org/philosophy/aristotle/on-interpretation.txt - "On Interpretation" by the philosophical great, Aristotle. A definitive and most helpful work, definitely worth a read.
• http://rhetoric.eserver.org/categories/history/classical/genres-of-rhetoric.html - Cicero's "The Genres of Rhetoric." Another classic worth reading to improve your use of language to persuade.
