Section 2: Post-Split

Though there is little to say, the Madness of Grand Masters Thedek and Zoraan does merit mention as a cautionary tale. During this time, House Qel-Droma gave an exceptional example of loyalty towards the Iron Throne, putting it in a strong position for the present and future. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the rest of the Brotherhood as jealousy, greed, hatred and an unquenchable thirst for power drew several past Grand Masters together in a cabal bent on claiming the Dark Brotherhood as their own, instead of part of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. As is the way of the Dark Side negotiation was never considered and open war was inevitable. This time, a majority of Arcona, lead to some degree by Dark Adept Mejas Doto (then Quaestor of Qel-Droma) supported the rebels and civil war broke out in Coronada

Unknowingly doomed from the start, the revolt failed and those loyal to the rebellion were exiled from the Emperor's Hammer territories. Though all aspects of the Fleet were affected, the worst impact was felt in the Dark Brotherhood, most particularly in Clan Arcona. In addition to losing many of its members, the departing Jedi destroyed most of the facilities on Phoeniecia and severely damaged the facilities on Delphinia. The Krath of Qel-Droma had lost their home.

They had not however lost their will to survive, however. Lead by the new Quaestor, Archpriest TK-7764, the House relocated and began to reorgainze in the shattered remains of the Tower of Shadows. Again a malaise feel over Clan Arcona and soon a firm sense of disinterest permeated the facility. Through out this time, TK-7764 kept struggling and working to keep Qel-Droma active. Due to events in the recent past, a new Phyle had been created for Qel-Droma, and Prophecy replaced Hell's Gatekeepers.

As time passed, Arcona began to slowly pick up the pieces. As new Jedi began to arrive to bolster the efforts a major reconstruction project was announced. New Clan and House facilities would be constructed. Like the proverbial phoenix, Arcona was set to rise from the ashes of its own glory. A gleaming new Tower of Shadows would form the centerpiece of a new Clan headquarters on the planet Delphinia, with each House having its own facility within the Tower. In addition, each House constructed its own separate main base on one of the moons circling Delphinia. Qel-Droma was given the moon Yorsh, where they built a grand temple and library complex.

Of key importance to all of this, was the revelation by TK-7764, that he rescued the Shadowstaff, which was later sacrificed to create the Dome at the very base of the Tower of Shadows. The Dome houses the Construct, a sentient being created from shadowmatter that provides advice and guidance to the Clan in times of need. The Construct has been particularly useful in the Clan's understanding of Shadowcrafting and exploring the Abyss.

House Qel-Droma was first of the newly revived Clan Arcona to really gain attention in the Brotherhood. Continuing to dedicate himself to preserving and restoring the traditions of the House, Quaestor TK-7764 worked tirelessly along with Prophecy Phyle Tetrarch Solaris Darthinian. Slowly things started to turn around. Thanks largely to their leadership, the House was not totally dead and instead began to prove more and more attractive to potential recruits. One of those recruits proved pivotal: Arch-Priest Kerridwen Jorddyn arrived in Prophecy Phyle during a brief setback for the House as both TK and Solaris were forced to resign their positions. Within a month she had been promoted to Quaestor.

Due to low numbers it was not deemed necessary to have a Tetrarch as well as a Quaestor for Qel-Droma but the numbers continued to rise and shortly thereafter she appointed a young Hunter named Angelo Dante as Tetrarch of Prophecy Phyle. Under their leadership Qel-Droma was subsequently named First House of the Krath Order by Krath High Priestess Epis Aeshline Strathhaven.

But as always, time brings change. And this time there were sweeping changes, due mostly to the House's success. Looking over her roster and seeing the number of available people, Quaestor Jorddyn decided to completely alter the make-up of the house. She named Priest George as her Aedile, appointed Protector Trevor Rastyn as Tetrarch of Prophecy Phyle and then reopened Dark Orb Phyle and named Protector Locke Setzer as its Tetrarch.

New faces continued to arrive and soon came a Dark Brotherhood-wide competition, a Vendetta. Qel-Droma so dominated the Krath and Open events that they very nearly won the event for Arcona. Their performance would have earned them the First Krath House of the Brotherhood title but it was ruled that only the victors of a Great Jedi War could claim that title.

After the Vendetta, the House continued to shine, winning various Order events. Quaestor Jorddyn was subsequently appointed Consul, replacing Pontifex Jondaar Domi on his retirement. In the same period, the House saw the departure of Knight Angelo Dante, who left for House Galeres, as well as Tetrarchs Setzer and Rastyn. Priest Ric Taldrya became Quaestor but left shortly afterward. His replacement was, Knight Angelus, though he was also in office a short time before resigning. Priest Coranel Both was named Quaestor in his stead, though records from his reign are sparse.

Uther was named as the Tetrarch of Prophecy Phyle, though his reign was very short. His place was taken by Protector Koth Melan, who was soon to be promoted to the position of Aedile. In the same time, because of low numbers of the House, Dark Orb Phyle was closed. However, after a few months it was reopened under the command of JH Korvyn Halcyon.

When Priest Coranel stepped down, bad times came for House Qel-Droma. Dark Jedi Knight Korvyn Halcyon took over the heritage of Qel-Droma. Yet his reign was short and after it, there was no Quaestor for a time, until Dark Jedi Knight Stryker.

The Dark Orb Phyle was also leaderless at this time, though the Prophecy Phyle was led by Protector Xantros. Soon, both Phyles were combined once again and Xantros took over Dark Orb, preceded for an extremely short period by ACO Myrn Sereg. The facilities of Prophecy became deserted and remains such even now.

Soon, Xantros was elevated to the position of House Quaestor and the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Supported, in turn, by Protector Velan, Dark Jedi Master Jarek La’an, Dark Jedi Knight Koth Melan and Protector Yaro (who all served for brief stints as Tetrarch of Dark Orb), Xantros led the House. Under his reign, Qel-Droma increased in numbers a small amount and gained a slight degree of stability. During the year of his Quaestorship, Priest Xantros focused on growth of the House.

Xantros, a year into his tenure as Quaestor, soon grew tired of the job and resigned. The Consul at the time, Talons Pryde, put together a list of strong candidates to be considered for the position. Keth D'Jek, a promising young Dark Jedi as well as Governor General in the Emperor's Hammer Directorate was certainly at the top of the list, and, after a number of recommendations for him made their way to Pryde, D'Jek was made the latest in a long string of leaders of the Krath of Qel-Droma. At the time of this writing, he still continues to serve as Quaestor.Created by Jondaar Domi
