TIE Corps Command Report

Weekly Report #3 – Submission date: March 11th 2013

Introduction

Welcome to this week’s TCCOM report,

This has been a very exciting week for the TIE Corps. A lot of development has been made in many aspects, and we’ll discuss each one of them.

The Fleet Commander has provided us a FTP subdomain and a new database, allowing for the beginning of the upload of our new database, which will be located at: http://tc.emperorshammer.org. If you check it now, you’ll already be able to see the version uploaded by Zósite. We ask you all to not try to log in or change anything in this database until it has been updated and released for use. Until that time, we’ll continue to use www.emperorshammer.org, as usual.

Speed issues in EH.org have been fixed, and the Internet Officer requests that any issues be reported to him as soon as possible.

GA Rapier has set the mail address tccom@emperorshammer.org to be redirected to me, so that can be used as well.

Alpha’s LT Lanil Jast has been promoted to Lieutenant Commander! Also, he has taken the position of Flight 3 Leader. Congratulations twice, LCM Jast!

We have had two veteran pilots rejoin our fleet this week. Welcome back to LC Miles Prower, who joined Gamma Squadron Flight 3, and to CM Ibram Gaunt, who joined Alpha Squadron Flight 3! On another note, MAJ Giovanni Palermo has transferred from Gamma Flight 3 to Gamma Flight 1.

FA La’an has submitted the narrative in which our future actions will be based. It sets the tone for the future of the TIE Corps, and it has just been approved by the Fleet Commander.

As La’an said in his report, both of us, along with the TAC, are preparing a competition that will involve fiction and flying. Stay tuned for developments, and get ready, for your skills will be put to the test on this one.

Until it is ready, the TAC has released two Message Boards based competitions that are a lot of fun: Dempsey’s Message Board Mania and Fun With Flags. They already brought life to the almost dead message boards, so kudos to Dempsey. Log in and participate! Three medals have already been awarded for MB Mania: congratulations to FA La’an for being awarded 2 IS-BRs and to MAJ Crsepe for his IS-BR!

On a final competition’s note, the TAC has decided to restart the monthly Ace of the TIE Corps competition, otherwise known as Ace of the Month, if I recall correctly. Medals for January and February have been retroactively awarded, so, congratulations to the 3 first places for January: LCM Kyle Kroan, MAJ Elwood the Brave and MAJ Gyssler; and for February: MAJ Elwood the Brave, MAJ Anahorn Dempsey and LCM Kyle Kroan. They were awarded IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW respectively.

With only one MSE remaining to complete submissions for February, some merit awards have been awarded. Congratulations are in order to LC Anahorn Dempsey, MAJ Impulse and MAJ Elwood the Brave for their Palpatine Crescents! Also, congratulations to LCM Kyle Kroan, LCM Shado Fenn, and GN Gilad Pellaeon for their Imperial Security Medals! Well done, pilots!

LC Tempest reports to be working on an update to the Tempest Tailoring Tool. Still, he states that at the current pace, it will take a while for something to be released. We are glad to see you’re working on it either way.

Hello YouTube. Welcome to another episode of Sheldon Cooper presents: Fun With Flags. Well, actually, Sheldon won't be here. So, starting the 11th, each week you shall receive 5 flags. National ones. Send your answers, each week there's a winner (and a loser but we won't mention them), and at the end there's an overall winner who scoops the big IS-GR. Each mission flown earns you a point for the competitions. Whoever scores most points win. Each mission only counts once. The numbers on the Kill Board at the end of the month are the numbers that are tallied; missions not yet processed will count towards the next month.

Conclusion

Well, considering I am not a native English speaker, I guess I do alright in this report most of the time. However, sometimes I can come up with something in my head, and when I write it in English, it comes out something really stupid. I try to check for these things, but sometimes, like now, I’m so tired that I just miss it. So, my apologies for that.

On everything else, I think we are making a lot of progress. We have set a foundation in which we can do a lot of work and, most importantly, have a lot of fun. I hope you’ll all enjoy it.
