TCCOM REPORT #27

REPORTING OFFICER: Fleet Admiral Plif, TIE Corps Commander
DATE SUBMITTED: 19 Mar 21
ACTIVE DUTY ROSTER COUNT: 155 (+3) Including 3 NPCs

NEWS

The roster is up three since last time, a net gain coming from a series of new Sub-Lieutenants joining our ranks. Welcome aboard!

There's a new tier of the Iron Star that's awardable: Copper. Rather than awarding a Bronze-level Iron Star for meeting a non-placement goal in a competition, we'll be awarding Copper instead so that there's not a Bronze going out for placement and then several more Bronzes going out for meeting a secondary goal. There's a difference between those usages and we've decided to separate them by creating a new tier. There are some non-placement situations where Gold, Silver, and Bronze Iron Stars will still be awarded, but these will usually be for larger competitions like Squadron (Re)Mobilization where meeting the goals surpasses what the new Copper award is intended to recognize.

Speaking of Squadron (Re)Mobilization, I'll be kicking that off soon™. Just working out some details and then we'll be ready to go.

Adding our four new awards, namely the TUA, MUA, IS-CW, and IS-CR, gave the IO an opportunity to implement some award precedence changes we'd discussed. Several medals have been moved around in the ID lines displayed in the database, so I'd recommend taking a look and updating any saved signatures you might have.

We're almost ready to present a new logo for the TIE Corps, the team's just figuring out which color we'll use for the logo most of the time. There are some other style and usage concerns that we'll continue to discuss for a while yet, so I'll be keeping the team together and getting their takes whenever the new logo is used.

TITLE HOLDERS

The Raise the Flag event each year confers three titles to recognize the top ship, squadron, and individual pilot from the competition. These are the current holders of those titles.

TIE Corps Flagship: ISDII Warrior

TCCOM's Escort Squadron: Rho

TCCOM's Wingman: GN Pickled Yoda
