Thank you for taking part in Imperial Storm 2 - this battle brings us to a end of this run of Imperial Storm as we have reached 30 turns. The final map being 8 worlds held by the WARRIOR against 2 by the HAMMER with the scores outlined below.

We were fortunate to close out with a final battle – the result of which was another resounding success for the Warrior – and also crown the WARRIOR as the winner of this run of the competition.

I’d like to thank everyone for taking part, it’s been phenonmenal to see the legions and BSF’s pour in and I will be cranking out the awards for the winning team. I’d also like to thank GN Pickled Yoda for his effort in setting up the API that helped me track scores and AD Turtle Jerrar for the logos.

UPDATE

Battle 6 was completed last night, with 25 members participating in some shape or form – so thank you for those of you who found time to fly the FREE mission or submit legions for your team.

The battle iself was another resounding success for the WARRIOR – a single player average of 98% of the existing high score and 300 Legions compared to the HAMMERS average of 76% and 188 Legions. Given the disparity in fleet size the result was always lilely going to favour the Warrior and panned out that way.

Losses from the Warrior team were the TIE Interceptors of Rho Squadron and TIE Fighters of Sigma Squadron. Against this the Hammer team lost four Assault Transports, two squadrons of TIE Defenders, two squadrons of Missile Boats, the Frigate Hometown, Interedictor Stopper and the Imperial Star Destroyers Crusader and Hammer. This means that the HAMMER fleet has been taken out of the game.

It’s worth remembering though that the surviving WARRIOR fleet at the battle included 7 Star Destroyers (6 Imperial and 1 Victory) and another 32 squadrons. So the HAMMER team shouldn’t be too downheartened by the loss.
