Top news from me this week is a new competition that’s a spinoff from the one I just ran for TIE-TC 244, this one is designed around incentivizing you all to write battle and mission reviews. Having more reviews in the system helps generate averages that are based on more than just a few opinions, and I think the process itself of writing a review is a nice writing exercise. Featured reviews might even end up expanded on and turned into newsletter articles? That might be fun. Look for a full announcement when the competition has cleared the COO approval step.

Getting that competition in motion lets me turn to Squadron (Re)Mobilization. The plan is to trim down the tasks that proved to be the toughest and add another one or two tasks so that there’s a little more flexibility. More news on that soon.

The January Evaluations are underway with most having reached the COM review stage. To the CMDRs that completed their steps already, excellent work! For the CMDRs that haven’t, I’m sorry to say that your peers are showing us that the cushy delay between the end of the month and the evaluation isn’t as necessary as we thought it was. ;)

With Episode IX in theaters and The Mandalorian having concluded its first season, we’d like any spoiler discussions to take place in the Telegram channel we’ve set aside for anyone who’s ready to chat about the latest things happening in the Star Wars Universe. To join up, ask about the spoiler chat in the TIE Corps Discussion group and one of us will send you an invite.

If you complete a new Imperial University course, you'll notice that your EH database profile gets updated automatically but not your TC database profile. The latter are updated manually by me and the TCCOM, please give us a couple of days after your test is graded for the new course to appear in your TC profile before you email us about it.

• Earned a few LoSs from SC PvE
• Earned a few awards from the Lord of the TIEs comp and the COO Riddle
• Finally got SL Cloud Striker what he needed to log in to the TC database
• Put together a competition for submitting battle/mission reviews

ONGOING:

• Acting Kappa KMDR
• Approving awards and uniforms, correcting submissions as needed
• Updating TC database profiles with IU course completions
• Keeping track of CoB eligibility

IN PROGRESS:

• TIE Corps Pilot Manual update
• Retooling Squadron (Re)Mobilization for its second iteration

PENDING:

• Taking TM/3
• Updating SM to SM/5
• Title review for anything that awarded a title that isn’t reflected in the database yet
• Competition resource - what we’ve done before to serve as a pool of ideas for what we can do next
• Figuring out another solution for completing the evaluation feedback loop
• Working out details for the next iteration of Imperial Storm
• Kickoff of the Trivia Grand Tour Season Five
