Pete Gets Dirty After being
towed in to the Challenge by the tractor beam in his new TIE Maverick, Pete
woke up the next morning and had to figure out what was going on. His past work in starship repair should
help him figure things out. Pete went
into the technicians’ shop and borrowed a pair of coveralls. He then borrowed a hover lift to get access
to the power systems of his TIE Maverick. Opening the
hatch, Pete was shocked. It was a huge
spiderweb of wires, and cooling tubes. “TIE’s are
supposed to be more organized than this…” Pete muttered to himself. “This will take a while.” After
tracing everything out, Pete was impressed with the ingenuity to power all
the extra weapon and shield power while still increasing speed, but downright
disgusted with the execution. He went
to work to sort it out. After an
hour of work, he heard some rushed footsteps behind him… “Hey, you
there! Show your identification! You can’t just go working on the TCCOM’s
personal fighter!” Pete
extricated his head and torso from his TIE and turned around. “I’m sorry, I suppose technically, I am not
on the approved list of technicians…” “Oh, sorry
sir! We didn’t know that was you. Go ahead and continue if you’d like.” “Thank
you. Next time I’ll add myself to the
list first.” Pete got
back to his 5 day endeavor to clean up the wiring in his ship. |
