Pell was sitting on his desk checking last information
and orders for the fleet on his data pads. All ships reported a green status.
Pell smiled. VA Pete Mitchell has organized an escort for his journey.
Excellent! His organizing and leadership abilities are increasing from day to
day. Pell never had regrets appointing him to his XO.
He opens a com link: “Major Nolex, how far you are with your preparations?” –
“Last technical check, we can launch in about 10 minutes.” – “Superb, I’ll be
in about 15 minutes on the ship. Giving last instructions to my Officers now.
Pellaeon out!”
Two seconds later he opens another channel: “Pete, my ship is ready in about
10 minutes. My plan is to depart in 15. Saw you set up an escort for me.
Excellent work! Inform them about my departure. See you in the hangar.” Channel
closed.
‘Damn!’ Pell thought ‘I haven’t gave him a chance to answer anything’ … ‘Time
to leave’
Several minutes later Pellaeon arrived in the hanger awaited by VA Pete Mitchell
and MAJ Nolex.
“Pell, why are you in such a hurry?” Pete asked. “I just hate long and affective
good byes.” Pell replied. “You and emotional?” Pete grinned. Pell’s face
frowned. “Pete, I’m going to meet the Grand Admiral to organize my retirement
and the future of the TC.” – “You are going to do what?...” *silence* “But…” – “No
buts Pete. We have to move forward. Myself, the TC and of course you too. Don’t
look back in sorrow, look in future confidently. Maybe the Fleet Commander
refuses and puts me in the mines of Kessel.” Pellaeon laughed.
VA Mitchell tightened his uniform. “You are right Pell. I’ll keep the light
on until your return.” – “I’m sure you will. See you in one or two days. The
TC is yours, Admiral.”
Pellaeon walked up the stairs in his ship. Silent Major Nolex followed him
and closed the door.
Two minutes later the “Bus”, an Imperil Landing Craft commanded by COL Mark
Schueler launched. The old Fleet Admiral felt safe on board of a ship of such
an experienced pilot. Kappa Squadron launched several minutes ago as forward
guard. Flanked by Theta Flight II and III they entered hyperspace. Stars became
lines.
Even in his current situation, Pellaeon was studying the last evaluations and
reports as a clunk jarred the ship. The lights switched from white to red. Alarm
signals barked loudly.
“What the hell is going on?” Pell snappy asked. As fast as the alarm bells
started their disturbing noise, they died. Pellaeon looked out of his window
and gasped for air. The “Bus” was surrounded by ion-laser mines and a black
shape of an Interdictor appears portsides.
“This is not the way I planned my leaving.” Pell thought loudly. He enabled a
distress call on his pad, which was not influenced by the ion blasts as a raspy
voice swells out of the speakers:
“Years of wasted time I was hunting you. Finally you entangled yourself in
one of my traps. The welcoming committee is waiting for you. Don’t be scared ‘Admiral’, … the judge for all of your crimes is waiting for you” *silence*

<Salute>
Welcome to report #42
Yes the fiction is right. This Raise the Flag will be the last one for me as
your TIE Corps Commander. It will be my 4th as one of the hosts of
this great and busy event. With the end of RtF and all necessary things done
my Tour of Duty as your TCCOM will end. This decision has personal as well
club related reasons. I was 2 years and 3 months SOO and 10 months TCCOM. Before
and parallel to that I held important deciding/leading positions in the DB.
All in all something over 4 years work in the control center of the Emperor’s
Hammer. It was and still is an interesting and challenging job, but there is
always a point in everybody’s life something changes, you are not creative
the way you started, you have become blind to shortcomings in company
processes or you just burn out. One of my main reasons is to make space for
new fresh innovative ideas and to have more time for my family. This year my
boy will come to school. This will be
a new episode in his and my life. I want to concentrate my attention on this
important step in his life. I also want to try a 2nd attempt to receive
the admission to do my Lieutenant exam. Well maybe my agency let me or let me
not, who knows. However, I’ll stay in the TC after RtF as a Flight Member.
Recover from the admiralty stress and having more time for RL and of course
some gaming I neglected the last weeks. Believe me, the gaming evaluation from
my SOO of me is annihilating. I promise improvement.
OK, enough of the sentimentalism. I’m still the TCCOM. We have to look
forward!
The RtF 2018 website is finished to 98%. Only the current rules have to be
updated. I’ll publish them tomorrow including the link to the website. Thanks
again to GN Pickled Yoda for his coding efforts. My RL is very time consumptive
at the moment, so I have to split it in parts every day,
Now to something pleasuring. Our Fleet Commander handed out the Commendations
of Loyalty. I was also one of the lucky guys receiving one, thank you for
that recognition.
Another pleasuring moment was the promotion of Commander Rando to Captain. Again
my congratulation to this more than deserved elevation. I really like to
promote, but I expect hard work for that. Something I’ll miss for sure in
future…
After the enjoyable news I’ve sadly bad news again. I had to AWOL 4 of our
pilots this week. LC Quincy Nelson, LT Alixandr Archangelmann, LT CrazyCarl
and LT Teemer were sent to FRG/Phoenix by me. No way to contact them several
times by COM and CMDR. I still hope that maybe one communique will come back.
This week we got 5 new Cadets joining the TC. I wrote as usual a welcome mail
to them. Two of them while I’m writing this report. I really hope at least
one of them will reply.
That’s all for now, stay tuned for more upcoming news.
respectfully, Pellaeon.

TIE Corps on Recon - 2018:
Competition Medals:
- IS-SW/IS-BW for the 1st
and 2nd based on combined score of all 5 game modes (weekly)
- IS-GW/IS-SW/IS-BW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd based on the points earned (points
from all match types added together for the monthly part!)
- IS-PW/IS-GW/IS-SW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd based on the points earned over the
entire year 2017
- IS-GW/SW/BW for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for every game mode based on the points
earned over the entire year 2017
Description:
This competition is split up into multiple parts, all based on Star Conflict
Multiplayer matches. The different weekly parts are split up based on the
different match types Star Conflict is offering.
Here the goals for the 5 different game modes used in this competition:
- Domination/Beacon Hunt (counted separately): 3 points per captured beacon,
1 point per kill, 0,5 points per assist
- PvE/Team Battle (counted separately): most kills (Assists count as half
kills)
- Detonation: most kills (Assists count as half kills), planting a bomb will
add 3 extra points.
- Combat Recon was removed from TCoR because it doesn’t appear any more in
normal PvP games
For the monthly part of the TCoR competition a points system will be used.
For each victory in one of the weekly sections of this competition the winner
will gain 4 points, second gains 3, third gains 2 and every other participant
gains 1 point. Even if only 1,2 or 3 TIE pilots participate in one game mode,
the 1st place still gains 4 points, 2nd 3 points and so on. Those points will
be added up until the last weekly TCCOM report of a month and then the
monthly winner will be announced based on those points. The points are also
used for the calculation of the overall winner of the year.
Every participating pilot that isn't eligible for a medal reward from this
competition earns himself a TCoR-activity point for each match type he
participated in per week.
10 activity points = IS-BW
50 activity points = IS-SW
After gaining 50 activity points, the pilot's points will be reset to 0.
To make a match count for this competition screenshots of the matches need to
be send to the TIE Corps Commander before the weekly report is released on
Sunday. Only one submission per week, match type and pilot will count, even
though you might send multiple screenshots to the TCCOM in case you manage to
gain more kills/captures during a week than you've had in the first
submission. Only screenshots with victories are allowed!
Everyone that wants to participate in this competition needs to submit
screenshots himself. If in one match 2
TIE Corps pilots participated and want a screenshot for that match to count
for this competition they BOTH need
to send their screenshots to the TCCOM!
Tie breakers:
- most Beacons in Domination and Beacon Hunt; in case of the same amount of
beacons most pure kills will be the tie breaker
- most bombs planted in Detonation, in case of the same amount most pure
kills will be the tie breaker
- pure kills for PvE, Team Battle
Note that CoOp matches against bot-only teams are not eligible.
