Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
Yet again another week has gone by and the Tactical Office
is as busy as ever, Operation Ant eater is finally properly under way.
Alot of XWA bugs were fixed today and yesterday.
I'd like to talk to you all about validity of Bug
reports. Most of the time bug reports on the database aren't even about
actual bugs, its about something silly, like misunderstood instructions when
installing Patches, or even not having EHSP installed or perhaps just a general
XvT/BoP/XWA/TIE problem with your computer, or your computer is just
bugging.
I'd like everybody to think twice about what you stick on
the mission compendium in the matter of bug reports. Ask yourself
"Is it a patch problem?", "Does anybody else have the same
problem?". Limit the bug reports to problems you have in the
missions themselves, and problems with the EHBL. Also, none of that
"its too hard" stuff, if its too hard, put the difficutly down, if
its still too hard, even on easy, then ask for some help, your superiors are
there to help you...Don't just put a bug report.
Well, that was my rant for this week, on to more important
business.
Tactical Announcements
-Operation Ant Eater has a new Homepage! The public

To date, 4 XWA Bugs have been corrected, and 3 are assigned and will be
corrected soon.
-TAC DB 2.0 is finally released! Special thanks to TACA
Marcin Szydlowski for adding staff. However, Only STAFF and
NEW BATTLES will be added to this database, TAC staff must empty the battles on
the old database from the old database. You can find the TAC DB on the
tactical network. The Login will be sent to all
testers/engineers/coordinators.
-I have devised a temporary location for an ON LINE

-I have sent the FO an update on the TAC Roster for
ehtc.org
-Two battles have been released, both for the Casino Imperiale
Competition. XvT TC 106 and XWA TC 39
will not have any high scores until the comp ends on the 31st of January.
Until then you will have to wait for your FCHG points, if you flew for the comp
get your superiors to BSF the battle immediatly. The TIE Version should
be released very soon.
-I am still looking for XWA/TIE/XvT/BoP Staff,
applications are to be sent to me at fcjt914@yahoo.ca and
my CA at stelerain@comcast.net
-Applications for TCC:XvT are still being accepted.
Requirements are: XvT mission Creation knowledge and Must have been at least a
TCS before. Apps go to myself and Styles.
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant-Eater: This is a lot like Project phoenix, the TAC staff will set out
to destroy all bugs in the Mission Compendium! We now have some progress, more

-Frodo's Quest for more Missions!: This
is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, I'll do
anything for more assignments...I'd like to remind everybody that they can
still apply for a TMD (Tactical Mission Designer) position to myself and
Styles!
Tasks from the FC
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation
to testing: My quest for more missions is still under way.
-Better attitude/interaction with the
membership regarding the EHBL and in general: Pilots come first! I'm willing to do anything to make your life
easier as long as you are willing to help me help you. Anything TAC
related that you need to discuss will be happily handed by me or my CA.
-Revise/update/fix the Tactical
Manual: My TACA, COL Mike, has completed

-More support relating to new
platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): We have a
few SWGB battles in progress, anybody interested in JA, or JO or SWGB can
contact myself right away. Support is important and we need some
competent staff for these new platforms. Anybody interested in a Mission
Creation course for these platforms can contact me immediately and I'll make
sure you get all the support you need to get me my support.
-Coordinating with training office to
set up new training resources for new platforms: Yes, I'll annoy a TO once we get one. For now I'm
considering remodelling the TAC IWATS Course structure.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any
bugs in the mission compendium: Operation
"ant-eater" is under way!
-Reform the TAC staff from a corps of
testers to mission creators: I just need to
fix a few things and TMDs should be online.
Competitions
-"Mission Creation Incentive": The
pilot who submits the most battles to the TAC office in the month of January
will be awarded an IS-PR, an IS-GR for second place and the same goes for
February and March. You must submit at least 3 battles, and the same goes
with missions, except the award for top missions is IS-GR and you must build at
least 5.
-Pilot of the week competition! It has
been resubmitted. The TAC reports are due on Friday's, I'd appreciate if I had
TCC reports in my inbox on Thursdays guys. The pilot of the week this week
is....TCC:XWA GN Master! For excellent coordination speed and wonderful
contribution at fixing bugs!
Standings are: VA Stuart 1 week, COL Mike 1 week, GN
Master 1 week.

Frothy's Corner
Whew! These TAC reports only seem to get bigger :P Well, I feel
great and everything seems to be coming together for the Tactical office!
