Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
Its been a pretty amazing two days! Already
I'm knee deep in work and projects, but thats a very good thing, very good
thing. This is my first TAC report, I've decided to keep up the line of
reports of Mike and Striker and go with #166...Not that it changes much in your
lives but for us Tackies it makes a difference.
Thank you to GA Astatine for
appointing me as TAC officer which such speed, I've already been hard at work,
I have begun two projects, which will be in the 'projects' section and released
a few battles, which you will hear about in the announcements section!
Oh, and if you're a TC flag and
wondering why the hell you're receiving a TAC report, its because you will from
now on, TAC reports are very important, they contain absolutely essential
information that you must all pass down to your pilots...or die trying.
On with the report, there is much to
learn!
Tactical Announcements
-XvT TC 105 and XvT Free 175 were
released today! After being in the tactical database for only a week and a few
days! Congrats to the XvT staff for tremendous Speed!
-Missing FCHG points for all testsers
have been awarded! Thanks to my TACA Marcin Szydlowski! :)
-I was appointed TAC, in case you
haven't noticed by now...FA Mike will be awarded the IC, and has decided to
join Diamondback Squadron as an FM, he will however remain as TACA, TCT and
TCS!
-I was forced to remove the position
of TCHC, LC Abel Malik has decided to become a tester for XvT/BoP and XWA
divisions. Sorry to see you go but circumstances didn't work out.
There will not be any more TCHC...until...em...forever.
-I am currently filling in the duties
of TCC:XvT, if anybody has alot of time, alot of XvTED knowledge and of course,
has been TCT for any division at one point in his career I suggest he applies
to myself and VA Styles for hte position of TCC:XvT. Until then, I will
be doing the work...
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant-Eater: This is alot like Project phoenix, the TAC staff will set out
to destroy all bugs in the Mission Compendium! If you have mission creation knowledge
and have been a TCT before, or you ARE a TCT, e-mail me at once!...TCCs and
Styles have to participate :P
-Frodo's Quest for more
Missions!: This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create
more, I'll do anything for more assignments...Even a journey through middle
earth to drop a random object in a volcano! Or...(I'll stop before I say
something any dummer...)

-More missions and faster
turnaround in relation to testing:
Well, my quest for more missions will
begin the second I release this report, in fact I've already contacted a few
mission designers. Otherwise this week we got a few battles released in
very little time mostly thanks to the former TCC:XvT...Hopefully this is the
begining of a good thing.
-Better attitude/interaction with the
membership regarding the EHBL and in general: Well, my office is always open, I'll answer any questions you
want and I'm a pretty easy going guy. The TAC office is now going to
adopt a "Pilots Come First" attitude, because that has always been my
attitude, and I'm not likely to change, if we can do something to help you
pilots, we'll do it, its that simple.
-Revise/update/fix the Tactical
Manual: My TACA, COL Mike, has completed
the TAC manual, it can be found here: http://www.ehtiecorps.org/tac/tactical_manual/offline/TacticalManual3.0.zip
an online version can be expected
really soon.
-More support relating to new
platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): We have a
few SWGB battles in progress, anybody interested in JA, or JO or SWGB can
contact myself right away. Support is important and we need some
competent staff for these new platforms.
-Coordinating with training office to
set up new training resources for new platforms: No TO for the moment, I'll get back to you gentlemen with this
I'll talk to Drako about it and perhaps something can be done, these are also
powerful recruitment tools.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any
bugs in the mission compendium: Operation
"ant-eater" is under way!
-Reform the TAC staff from a corps of
testers to mission creators: We have quite a
few TMDs already, with TAC DB 2.0 it will work. I'll make sure TAC DB 2.0
is open for everybody soon.
Competitions
-I am going to start a mission
creation incentive, more on this in a few days, you will all hear about it.
-Pilot of the week competition! LC
Abel Malik is the pilot of the month for December, he will be awarded the
IS-GR. The Competition ended yesterday and I will re-recommend it
today. The pilot of the week for the last week of December was Malik,
hence why he won the month. (The medal was recommended)
-Lets sing it!: My TACA will continue
to run this, send the answers to him at pbmike@go2.pl the lyrics for this week are:

-MCW 2004: It has concluded, since I became TAC, there has to be
a TIE, SSs will go to RA Pickled Yoda and RA JoeyC!

Frothy's Corner
Now that was a long report...Ouch. If you read all of it,
thank you, I appreciate your dedication, at any rate, I hate leaving
reports with an ending like a roster or how few battles are in, so I
usually fit in inspiring words/random comments in the last few lines of all my
reports. PLEASE SUBMIT MORE BATTLES! Scroll up...3 in each division, none
in BoP, I will set out to get those mission creators in a few moments...*Evil
