Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
Another busy week with the Tactical Office, some more TIE bugs were fixed, a total of 10 bug updates this week between Locke and Myself. Which means Operation Ant Eater is nearing conclusion. For this reason I decided to start a new project.
The TO and I have agreed that the current mission design and TACS courses need a major update, which is why that TACS, XTM/2 and TM/2 will be removed entirely. XTM/1 and TM/1 will be updated to fit the new criteria for our courses. Also a new course will be created, more on this soon.
Tomorow we have our first semi final match for the Iron Mission Creation Competition, it will be between CPT Daar Skeloria and FA Den Darkhill, same TAC time, same TAC channel. One day still remains for the flying challenge and TIE Free 254.
I spent a very large part of the week learning some XWA mission creation, hopefully I should get the full version of AlliED soon, hence, some XWA missions and battles from me. *crosses fingers*.
Tactical Announcements
-TIE Free 254, TIE TC 223, XvT TC 112, XvT Free 184 and XvT Free 185 released this week.
-Operation Ant Eater continues! 10 bug reports gone this week.
-There are NO TAC staff openings.
-The IRON MISSION CREATOR Competition is under way! Sunday's Semi Final match is coming up.
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant Eater: Its looking good now ladies and gentlemen, TIE bugs are going down. Roughly 30 battles/missions with bug reports remain on the database.
-Frodo's Quest for More Missions: This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, I used quite a few means, mainly by competition and by posting news items that could help people start creating missions. We have alot of custom made battles and missions on the TACDB and they're swarming in. BUILD MORE!
-Fix those IWATS!: The TAC staff is fixing our IWATS courses! In collaboration with the TO we're bringing our course standards up.
Tactical Tasks
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to testing: A few TAC DB updates this week, Mike made it better so things will improve DB-wise from now on.
-More support relating to new platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): SWGB now has 2 active Tacticians and many, many testers, we are ready to deal with SWGB bugs and the number of battles on the compendium has increased drastically. If anybody would like to be JA staff, please contact me as soon as possible. Our new project will improve support for older platforms as well.
-Coordinating with training office to set up new training resources for new platforms: The SWGB course is there. Gimme some time on this JA stuff.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any bugs in the mission compendium: Operation "anteater" is nearing completion..*crosses fingers*
Competitions
-Iron Mission Creator: Every week end there will be matches between mission creators to see which can build the best free mission for a designated plotline within 2 hours! More details here.
-Pilot of the Week Competition: The pilot of the week this week is VA Pickled Yoda, for standing all the errors the database sent him as well as his consistant good work. So the standings are: Bruk-1, Locke-1, Yoda-1.
This gives us a 3 way TIE for April. So the best of these three next week will be awarded the IS-SR and declared pilot of the month

This week was less active for me personally, fault of large amounts of school work so I had to concentrate more on core activities like High scores and such. Expect no more TIE TC or TIE Free bugs by next week.
