Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
This week you will all find something odd is going on with the mission compendium. There are absolutely no, zero, zip, nadda XvT bug reports on it. Thats right! I've successfully investigated and corrected all of the Bugs on the XvT battles and missions.
Locke, Master and AK have also put forth an excellent effort. Together with me we eliminated 45 bugs this week only. There only remains 36 on the database which will likely be delt with very soon.
I am no longer accepting TAC staff applications. Welcome COL George and VA Pickled Yoda to the team.
We've been experiencing some TAC DB 2.0 problems, TAC staff who get these errors should e-mail me right away and CC the TACA (pbmike@go2.pl). If a report you've posted no longer appears on the database, please replace it.
This week we have an IMC match between LC Mouse Droid and CM Fahrer, it will take place in #tac at 14h30 on sunday. The winner will face VA Locke in the semi finals. Expect an update on the page once the missions for these are released.
Tactical Announcements
-TIE Free 252 and TIE Free 253 were released this week.
-Operation Ant Eater continues! Only 45 bugs corrected this week! Hehe, only.
-There are NO TAC staff openings.
-The IRON MISSION CREATOR Competition is under way! Sunday's match is coming up.
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant Eater: Well, every time that it seems to be complete...more bugs arise, so this might finish in a few weeks or take a bit more time.
-Frodo's Quest for More Missions: This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, I used quite a few means, mainly by competition and by posting news items that could help people start creating missions. We have alot of custom made battles and missions on the TACDB and they're swarming in. BUILD MORE!
Tactical Tasks
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to testing: Well, now that we got some new energetic staff, things should pick up. However our DB is giving us problems therefore...blarg.
-More support relating to new platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): SWGB now has 2 active Tacticians and many, many testers, we are ready to deal with SWGB bugs and the number of battles on the compendium has increased drastically. If anybody would like to be JA staff, please contact me as soon as possible.
-Coordinating with training office to set up new training resources for new platforms: The SWGB course is there. Gimme some time on this JA stuff.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any bugs in the mission compendium: Operation "anteater" is nearing completion..*crosses fingers*
Competitions
-Iron Mission Creator: Every week end there will be matches between mission creators to see which can build the best free mission for a designated plotline within 2 hours! More details here.
-Pilot of the Week Competition: Pilot of the week this week will have to be VA Locke Setzer! For some wonderful TIE work.this week yet again. So the standings are: Bruk-1, Locke-1.
