FC Report # 3 (2005-01-30)

This report was submitted by GA Astatine

This one's big....

After consultation with some of the Command Officers, I've decided that the probationary rank for all Command Officer positions (CS1-12, SGCOMs, etc) be raised back up to Vice Admiral, with a promotion to Admiral for those who have satisfied that probationary period. This means a consistancy for this, which has been a bit inconsistant over the years. The change is effective immediately. Of course, those who don't stay in CO spots long enough will still go back to their pre-appointment rank.

In line with this change, the following Command Officers have been promoted to full Admiral:

TAC Frodo
COMM Joey C
SO Vlad
IWCOM Hobbie

Congratulations to them.

There's still a few competitions out there up for grabs. The Science Officer's competition ends on 30th, so you've rpobably got a few hours left to get some entries in. Details at http://sco.emperorshammer.net/casino I've decided to extend my Off the Record competition one week and it will now end on 7th February. Details on that competition are available at http://www.ehtiecorps.org/xo/comps/offtherecord.htm The TAC has also released the TIE battle for the SCO"s competition, designated TIE TC 221.

The Teamspeak server on the TIE Corps site is back up after a break. You can connect to it with the IP address 67.18.110.213 If you need help getting on it, the Communications Officer has written a guide at http://comm.emperorshammer.net/teamspeak.html

The High Court of Inquisitors has been disbanded. It will be replaced with a new system that is currently being worked on. This does not mean you can misbehave without consequence. Inappropriate behaviour will still be dealt with. As a consequence of the HCI being closed down, I begun reviewing cases. As a result, I have over-turned the conviction for Zeth Durron, meaning he is now restored to his position and status before the trial. I have also decided to modify the sentence for Xander Drax to "time served" and his medals will be restored.

The Recon Officer, AD Joe, has been doing some fantastic work for Celebration 3. Check out the article on the domain (http://www.emperorshammer.org/news.htm#news1). There's a message board topic about Celebration 3 at http://mb.emperorshammer.net/viewtopic.php?t=102 The official Celebration 3 site is at http://www.starwarscelebration.com/

I'm still after newsletter submissions even though I'm FC now. Graphics, fictions, reviews, articles are all good submissions. You get a nice Letter of Achievement and exposure of your works to the entire Emperor's Hammer. If you're wanting something to get in the newsletter, send it to me.

Our Combat Operations Officer continues to lead our multiplayer revival. The Emperor's Hammer has won the XvT Week of War for January, with a 2nd place for Battlefront and 4th for Jedi Outcast. Of individual note is Tek Selkirk who has placed 1st in the XvT Week of War for the third time. He has been awarded a Gold Star for his effort. The Dark Brotherhood's Obelisk High Commander Scoser placed first in the Jedi Outcast events. Nearly 400 Legion of Combat awards have been handed out in the last 2 weeks. This is a major achievement considering our total for 2004 was only around 400. This has been one of the truly exceptional turnarounds in any area of the Emperor's Hammer and the COO, FA Sarin, deserves credit for this. Well done.

After having a browse around some websites, I've decided to hand out some Commendations of Excellence. The awardees are:

Pickled Yoda (creating the COMM site)
Reinthaler (ongoing works on Tau squadron's site)
Girth (Avenger squadron website)
Drako (ATF BGCOM's Judgement site)
Aeishline (House Gladius site)
Ace Hobbes (Clan Tarentum site)
Congratulations to them.

That just about wraps it up.
