Greetings everyone! Welcome to the 53rd RO Report.

This week-
I talked to TheForce.net. I told them about a few interviews I had planned (Including the AD Motti interview we are waiting on) and they said that might put them up on their site. That is very good for us, especially for recruiting.

I’d like to interview Joe Corroney once more as well as Anthony Daniels. I’d also like to have an interview with the other EH Honorary Members who still hold the honorary rank of Lieutenant.
While I was talking to TheForce.net, I mentioned (again) the idea of having an EH Banner on their page. They didn’t really react one way to another. I’ll still keep trying.

Now, on to Celebration III.
As all of you know, the registration for the 4day passes and for hotel arrangements started September 27th. If you pre-order the badges online and have them delivered early you can receive a Darth Vader topper for I believe under $4. It’s apart of a set you can pick up at CIII but not with the DV topper. Something to think about. I will have a EH Booth at Celebration III and I will need volunteers to help out with manning the booth for all 4 days. Now if you want to help out, I will try to limit the time at the booth to 2 hours cause I know we are there to see all things Star Wars and I wouldn’t want to stay in one place for a long time during the biggest SW convention of all time. If you would like to help, please e-mail me at Noon001@aol.com and tell me you want to help and what days you are going to be there. Once we get closer to CIII, starwars.com will have a list of events that will be happening during each day. Take a look at the events and let me know when you can be at the booth.
Also, for the EH booth, we will need an EH Banner. I asked GA Ronin for his preference, he said it was up to me. So, this is what I want to do. I’d like to have a two-part contest. First part, an EH-Wide banner comp. The banner needs to be in a traditional rectangle-shape, but the exact size I will give some room to work with. This comp will continue thru November 20th, 2004 at midnight. Now, the second part is voting. I will have the banners set up on a website and, probably through the polling center, have the EH vote on they want to be set up at the booth.

I want everyone to remember, this banner will represent the entire EH at the largest Star Wars convention EVER! This needs to be the best banner we have. I can’t emphasize that enough. I will get in touch with a printing agency and see how much a banner could cost. Depending on the cost, I might need some help with the $$$ (GA Ronin?). I will let you know.

Intec Announces Star Wars Licensing Agreement

MIAMI, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Intec, Inc., the leading manufacturer of cross-platform video game accessories, today announced it has secured a deal with Lucasfilm Ltd. for the accessory licensing rights to their Star Wars video game related brands. Intec will launch its first Star Wars-branded high-performance video game controllers (one for the PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system and one for the Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft®) in time for this holiday season. Intec will also work closely with Lucas Arts, a Lucasfilm Ltd. company who is a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment products, to design product for titles to be released later this year and to coincide with the release of the upcoming and much-anticipated Star Wars: Episode III video game slated for a May 5th, 2005 release date, and other video game related titles in 2005.


Intec, who will be developing a whole suite of specialized Star Wars-branded controllers, including wireless controllers, will introduce new video game technologies in 2005, which will be embedded in Intec's new Star Wars controllers slated for early next year. These new technologies will heighten gamers' experiences while they play best-selling Star Wars games.
"Since the beginning of Star Wars, Lucasfilm has developed solid licensing partnerships to ensure the brand remains synonymous with a high-quality, adventurous galactic experience," said Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing. "Intec's product line will add onto this experience, and we look forward to increasing our fans' gaming experience through their innovative video game accessories."

Joe Corroney Heritage Sketch Cards (One of our EH Honorary Members)


Joe Corroney has posted 90 cards that he illustrated for Heritage, the latest trading card series from Topps due at retailers this month. His fantastic sketches span all six films and include two unique sets of cards on which a character is drawn over two cards, each card getting one half of the face. Check out his site and look for his first Dark Horse assignment with Star Wars: Empire #25, shipping the week of October 8.



EP3: New 3D Set Picture
This thread talks about the new 3D set picture on the Official Site tonight.
The picture is of a conference room on the final planet of the film. It is made of metal and looks pretty rough. The leaders of the Confederacy will meet here to figure out their next plan of attack and the events at the end of the film unfold. To that end, Nick Gillard inspects the environment.
Some think it might play out something like this in a speculation :

The Separatists leaders are on Mustafar, sitting around the table in the middle of a conversation awaiting Palpatine's emissary - suddenly the door opens, startling all of them. Anakin strides in with his head down, the door closes behind him and he slowly looks up with an evil grin on his face. One of the leaders attempts to get up from the table and run, but Anakin is too quick for him and uses the Force to throw him against the wall, knocking over his chair, and choking him to death. The Sep. falls to the floor and the rest of the leaders turn back to look at Anakin.
His lightsaber ignites and we cut to Obi-Wan and Padme's journey to Mustafar. They arrive on-planet and begin the search for him. We cut back to Anakin in the conference room, corpses of the Sep. leaders littering the floor, with Anakin following a terrified Nute Gunray around the table. He suddenly moves in for the kill and severs Gunray's head. His limp body falls to the floor as Anakin continues to grin evilly.
Padme rushes in and Anakin spins around, his emotions taking a new turn as he sees his pregnant wife, waves of guilt and shock riding over his face, and he becomes distressed that she is seeing first-hand his handiwork and also that she's on this very unstable planet. She runs up to him and tries to talk some sense into him.
Suddenly Obi-Wan bursts in, Anakin reacts with his heart rather than head, and accuses Padme of betraying him. He begins to Force-choke her, causing Obi-Wan to ignite his own saber and come running towards Anakin, who throws Padme aside where she hits her head hard and falls to the ground. Master and apprentice begin their epic duel.
