Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
3542 total custom missions online!
The TAC DB assignements are pretty much bland again, I'll be reassigning everything over again after I send this report. We now have less clutter on there so it shouldn't be too difficult.
Operation Ant Eater continues, this week I had to defend a few newly arisen XvT bugs to put them back to the only acceptable level, 0. Also, there are no more Bug Reports for the TIE Frees.
IWATS TACS and XTM/2 have been discontinued from the Academic Nexus. More on this soon, naturally its part of my "Fix Those IWATS" project.
IRON MISSION CREATOR didn't quite go as planned last week, I got into a small peculiar mess with a school project and had to cancel the thing...Enough about that, my RL life is too boring to be of interest. At any rate, I've decided to have both Semi-Finals at the same time tomorow at 1300hrs EST in #TAC. Two matches will take place, one between FA Den Darkhill and CPT Daar Skeloria, the second between VA Locke Setzer and CM Fahrer. Should be a good afternoon of double header action! :)
Tactical Announcements
-XvT-DB 14, BoP-TC 25, SWGB DIR 3, SWGB DIR 4 and SWGB Free 3 were released this week!.
-Operation Ant Eater continues! About 10 bug reports gone this week.
-There are NO TAC staff openings.
-The IRON MISSION CREATOR Semi finals are tomorow.
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant Eater: Its looking good now ladies and gentlemen, TIE bugs are going down. Roughly 30 battles/missions with bug reports remain on the database.
-Frodo's Quest for More Missions: This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, I used quite a few means, mainly by competition and by posting news items that could help people start creating missions. We have alot of custom made battles and missions on the TACDB and they're swarming in. BUILD MORE!
-Fix those IWATS!: The TAC staff is fixing our IWATS courses! In collaboration with the TO we're bringing our course standards up.
Tactical Tasks
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to testing: Assignement Refresh coming.
-More support relating to new platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): SWGB now has 2 active Tacticians and many, many testers, we are ready to deal with SWGB bugs and the number of battles on the compendium has increased drastically. If anybody would like to be JA staff, please contact me as soon as possible. Our new project will improve support for older platforms as well.
-Coordinating with training office to set up new training resources for new platforms: The SWGB course is there. Gimme some time on this JA stuff.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any bugs in the mission compendium: Operation "anteater" is nearing completion..*crosses fingers*
Competitions
-Iron Mission Creator: Every week end there will be matches between mission creators to see which can build the best free mission for a designated plotline within 2 hours! More details here.
-Pilot of the Week Competition: I decided that VA Pickled Yoda will be the TAC office pilot of the week for April, for consistant new activity. We start fresh next week.
