RA Darknyte was awarded a Bronze Star by myself for his tireless work with the Recon Office to have TheForce.net linked to the EH! He's done some great work and I thought he should be rewarded for it! Thanks DN. :)

I still haven't received a reply from the FC or XO about allowing me to post a poll on the major EH MBs on our MB Forum. Again, this poll is to help the Reconnaissance Office Staff better understand what the general membership would like to see from this Office. I would like to get started on what they would like to see the most ASAP. I have enough people to really get a lot of work done, but I need to know what kind of work everyone would like to see first. ;)

CA:RO Mage has a very interesting idea in his report, so ill go ahead and hand it over to him.

O-blah-dee, o-blah-dah, life goes on. :P

I haven't heard back from Penny Arcade since last week, so I'm going to
try an alternate contact there. This is still a good opportunity for
us. ;)

I'm continuing to look for potential Honorary Member contacts... I'm
finding actors really don't want to talk to us peons (:P). I'm hoping
to get in contact with some of the people that I think have been glazed
over in the past, such as the Star Wars music composers... we'll see how
that goes.

A suggestion was brought to me to try and get us a link on the Zone...
however, that plan was dumped about an hour after I started looking into
it. As far as I know, the EH isn't prepared to drop $100,000US or more
on an advertisement/link. :P

I've discovered that certain universities still run internal newsgroup
servers (although some may dump it soon in favor of newer
technologies). Many have computer-related groups - so, with any luck, I
may be able to get a little blurb out through those. If I'm not able
to, however, I encourage our college/university level students to look
into these types of things at their own schools. We need all the help
we can get, people. :P

That pretty much sums up the week... a lot of waiting, a lot of
wondering, and a fair bit of planning. Action is the next step, don't
panic. :P

With luck, a few other projects I've been hiding on the back burner can
come to light soon, too... more on that next week.

I honestly think that recruitment idea has a lot of merit, though constructive criticism is always welcomed! ;)
