First Look: Force Heretic II & III
January 30, 2003
The final chapters of The New Jedi Order will be arriving this year, and the next books to be previewed are the remainder of Sean Williams and Shane Dix's Force Heretic trilogy, Refugee and Reunion. The first book, Remnant has been previously previewed here.
In Refugee, Luke Skywalker and his most trusted of Jedi venture into the heart of the Unknown Regions, seeking to unravel the mystery of Zonama Sekot, the rogue planet that may hold the key to victory against the Yuuzhan Vong. Meanwhile, on the edge of known space, on a world once loyal to the New Republic, the Yuuzhan Vong are stirring up long-forgotten vendettas. As Han and Leia continue their vital diplomatic missions, betrayal and deception await them.
Refugee is scheduled for a May 5, 2003 paperback release from Del Rey Books.
In the depths of uncharted space, Luke, Jacen and Mara are set to recruit the most remarkable of allies. But this powerful force refuses to join the bloody and miserable war engulfing the galaxy. As Luke attempts to negotiate a reluctant partnership, the Yuuzhan Vong strike to shatter this tenuous alliance. In the path of the attack are Han and Leia, who once again face overwhelmingly terrible odds.
Reunion is scheduled as a July 2003 paperback release. Both books feature cover art by Jon Foster.
Next on The New Jedi Order horizon will be Greg Keyes' The Final Prophecy with cover illustration by Terese Nielsen. Keep checking starwars.com for updates.

Early Look: The New Jedi Order Finale
April 29, 2003
The New Jedi Order series of bestselling novels nears its end. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, their children, and their comrades in the Galactic Alliance rally for their last stand against the enemy that threatens not only the galaxy, but the Force itself.
The stage is set for endgame: Luke, Mara and Jacen desperately try to recruit an unwilling ally for the Jedi's final campaign against the Yuuzhan Vong. Han and Leia learn that hundreds of high-ranking Alliance prisoners face slaughter in a sacrifice to the enemy's bloodthirsty gods. And a lone space station is all that stands between the Alliance headquarters on Mon Calamari and endless waves of enemy forces waging their most decisive assault.
The Jedi's alliances throughout the galaxy are being tested by rogue factions determined to deploy a lethal weapon that will exterminate the Yuuzhan Vong ... and perhaps countless other species. And among the Yuuzhan Vong themselves, the threat of revolt escalates as the oppressed underclass and powerful officials alike fear their Supreme Overlord's mad actions.
There's no turning back for either the Galactic Alliance or the Yuuzhan Vong. Too much has been sacrificed and too much is at stake. Now, nothing can stand in the way of seizing victory ... or facing annihilation.
The Unifying Force, by James Luceno, is the final book of The New Jedi Order series. The book will be released in hardcover this November by Del Rey Books. As a bonus, the book will include a CD-ROM of extra material: the entire text of the first book of The New Jedi Order, Vector Prime by R.A. Salvatore, an exclusive look inside the Yuuzhan Vong reference guide used by the authors of the series, Yuuzhan Vong-related excerpts from The New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, and a behind-the-scenes interview featuring the creative forces behind the series: Shelly Shapiro, Editorial Director of Del Rey Books, Sue Rostoni, Managing Editor at LucasBooks, Lucy Wilson, Director of Publishing at LucasBooks and author James Luceno.
The cover art for Unifying Force is currently in development, but here's an early look at artist Cliff Nielsen's work.

KOTOR coming to PC
May 02, 2003
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the epic role-playing game of the ancient Jedi and Sith is coming to PCs this fall.
Developed by BioWare Corp. and published and distributed by LucasArts, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place four thousand years before the events of the current Star Wars saga, in an ancient era dominated by an epic struggle between the Jedi and the evil Sith. The game features customizable male or female heroes and evolving playable characters, as well as dynamic lightsaber combat. Players can choose to follow the path of good or evil as they progress through the game, which spans many locations -- some new and some familiar -- in the Star Wars galaxy.
The game is first scheduled to debut on the Xbox video game system this July. For more information on this and other LucasArts titles, visit their official website.

Knights of the Old Republic looks really cool. That will deffinatly be on my "list".

My CA, RA Mage has been on leave this week. He should be returning to duty this week. Cause? IRL problems.. and we all know how that works.

I'm sending an email interview to the authors of the latest NJO Book, (Force Heretic II: Refugee) Sean Williams and Shane Dix. The way the two recent books have been laid out, using the Part-format rather than the usual chapter format not to mention a few characteristics of their writing styles, should make for a good Interview.

Myself or Darknyte haven't heard from TheForce.net for our link exchange yet. Hopefully they will be coming through soon.

Once RA Mage gets back from leave, I can find out if PennyArcade is going to OK a link exchange with them ( if approved by the GA and XO ofcourse). That should bring us alot of members as well.

That is about it from me unfortunately. I'll keep the Fleet posted if I get anything back asap! :)

Thanks!
